Lilly Seeks Fda Approval To Market Cymbalta? For Anxiety

Eli Lilly and Co.is seeking filed for a new marketing approval to sell its antidepressant Cymbalta to treat generalized anxiety disorder.
Cymbalta already has U.S. approval to treat depression and neuropathic pain in diabetics. Another new use for Cymbalta could be for treatment of fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder. Lilly is starting final-phase tests on humans for that use.
