hey guys i'm diana and i'm new to the forum. Im a girl that likes singing and music. im on here to talk about my two greatest fears and its of being alone and my most terrified fear of zombies i had recently finished watching the show lost tapes on animal planet and one of the episodes was on zombies in new orleans and yea didnt help me much i didnt even watch the whole thing i started to shake and i just started crying so i did some research and there was an attack in new orleans of a guy bitten by another guy who people say its a zombie. I've been terrified of them since i was about 5 years old when i saw night of the living dead. Right now im still scared and crying alittle. Im scared of the night time...i have gone out at night when my boyfriend comes to get me so i actually run to his car when he comes here. When i wake up in the morning i go peak outside the window to see if there are any zombies out. I dont know what to do. Are they real?

hey thanks david.
just the story i read got me terrified even more. The guy that got bitten he said when the other man bit him he even swallowed his flesh right in front of him. I dont know how to overcome my fear of zombies

well no my other fear is being alone. i dont like being in a room or just in a place by myself but my fear of zombies is the worst. Yes im the type of person that worries way too much

You worry a lot because, like all of us, you live in a world that is not very certain or predictable. Your fear of nythical zombies is really just a fear of the unknown and unpredictable dangers. You've just given a face to that fear in the form of zombies.

Like any other unwelcome and intrusive thought or worry, the best way to deal with it is not to fight it, but rather just to label it, identify it, acknowledge that it's there but just name it as one of the ways you worry. It has no power. It's just a thought, a worry. It has no power over you unless you give power to it.

As Daniel said in another thread, watch it go past you like a train going past your line of vision.
