Well, bad news, he was not willing to write any letter or do anything else. He essentially said that he filled out everything for the forms, and doesn't see anything else that he can do. I'm not happy with him because he really sends mixed messages. He had no issues to fill out my forms, and said "glad to do it", but it seems if he's in a different mood, he doesn't take my condition as serious and thinks it self-esteem/confidence stuff, not anxiety. Initially when I wanted to see a psychiatrist he wasn't big on reffering me, seemed to think it was just confidence stuff, nothing more. Not sure if he really believes in the mental stuff all that much. Seems to me now he just wanted to make some money by filling out the forms quickly (because he did a **** poor job if it)

Well, she says she only sees patients short-term, so she said she doesn't fill out ODSP forms anymore. (hasn't for like the last 6-7yrs) She asked that the GP do it, since he sees me regularly.

I sent in my letter, asking for internal review. I faxed it. I felt it is a good letter, a truthful one, but yeah, I don't see it changing anything.

But yeah when he came into the room he saw papers in my hand and said "oh more forms"..so i knew that wasn't going to go well.

If your doctor is unwilling to help you then time to perhaps find another doctor who can and is willing to help you
You tell your psychiatrist your doctor does not want to fill out forms and you need her to fill them out as she is the only one that knows your mental health and if she will not do it ask her who will.

My psychiatrist is also sort of bipolar about stuff like this. Usually a sweet lady, willing to help and listen, but you ask her to fill out a form and it seems she is going to blow up. (one time she literally got angry) One time I asked her to fill out a form for school (so they would accept me into the disability section) so I can do exams in quiet rooms, and she got angry and said she couldn't..then she called me back hours later and said she changed her mind and she would do it.

Yikes that is not good a doctor is to be there to help you not harm you by getting angry and upset with you when you reach out for support.
Explain to her that she is the only one that knows your mental health well enough to fill out forms and if she cannot do it then she should have someone that will.
It is part of her job to fill out these forms for people who need assistance and if she is not willing to do this i would be looking for a new pdoc

My psychiatrist is on long-term medical leave.

I don't know how much more of this I can take. I've had to deal with so much crap my whole life. If it wasn't for my family, I'd probably end it.

who is covering for her someone must be if she is not available then get a therapist or someone that works with her to fill out form

Hope you do not give up ok Find a new doctor one that will work with you for you to get you the help you need and deserve one that will do what it takes to help you

Was this letter sent to ODSP? The doctor confirms the medical diagnosis but you provide the information about how you are coping with it. It would be helpful if your doctor(s) was more supportive and I do hope you are doing okay.
