I can really relate to that article. I have definitely had times in my life when I displayed OCD thinking and i am also an alcoholic, as well as been diagnosed with adhd and bipolar. If you asked my wife she would say i was also a "sex addict" but really i guess it's more of a high libido thing. I know that cause a psychologist reassured my that i am definitely not the latter, LOL!

Wow about how he say's that the OCD thoughts can be just as abrasive as the hand washing ritual.
I love when I read or hear someone articulating something I've known but never heard validated anywhere else before.

I can definitely attest to the truth of this statement. Counting frantic number patters in my head, counting letters in sentences and adding them up, or any other of the OCD thought-symptoms I've experienced tighten my chest and give me a headache sometimes.:facepalm:
