To overcome myths and misunderstandings about human sexuality, the reproductive cycle (menstrual cycle), sexually transmitted diseases (STD's), contraception (birth control methods), the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC) has created a comprehensive information site called SexualityandU.ca to address these topics in a clear and understandable language for women, their partners, for parents, teachers and even contains a section for health care professionals.

The site provides information on every aspect of sexuality including vaccines for HPV for women, videos, a resource library and FAQ's for questions you may have wanted to ask, but didn't have anyone who knew the answer.

Because the entire site is administered by the SOGC, it is reviewed by gynecologists whose primary interest is womens' health so the quality of the information is up to date and accurate.

The section titled Check The Research contains numerous articles in :acrobat: format on various topics related to sexuality, statistics etc.

SexualityandU covers topics on sexuality for women ranging from menarche to menopause and beyond. The section titled Sexual Health covers topics ranging from Understanding Sexuality, to Understanding Your Body, to Puberty, Sexual Identity to Sex Over Fifty.

SexualityandU is the ultimate Canadian web site committed to providing you accurate, credible and up-to-date information and education on sexual health. An initiative of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, the site’s mandate is to provide guidance and advice to help individuals develop and maintain a healthy sexuality.

This web site is made possible with the guidance and collaboration of a team of distinguished Canadian medical organizations, and is administered by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada.

The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) is one of North America’s oldest national organizations devoted to the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The mission of the SOGC is to promote optimal women’s health through leadership, collaboration, education, research and advocacy in the practice of obstetrics and gynaecology. The Society welcomes all specialists in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Practitioners, Researchers, Nurses, Midwives and other health care providers in Canada and internationally.
