I know what you mean when you say you don't want to risk another breakdown Braveheart. I have felt the same way and the reason why I am going so slow this time (as in taking on new tasks, trying new things).
follow your instincts, that is the best thing to do to take care of yourself. if changes would be risky in terms of another breakdown then it's best not to go there.
you do have a long term goal, and this job you are in will help you get to that long term goal safely. maybe looking at the job as a temporary situation might help you feel a bit better about it?
i am also thinking that the issues this job brings up for you is actually an opportunity for you to address them. so even if it feels awful, you will work your way through it all and it will be helpful in the long run. not that i am trying to minimize what you may be feeling. not at all. i hope this helps, if not, ignore me
