Dr. Scheff's major point is that the emotional suppression of modern society fosters shame. And so we need more opportunities for cathartic expression of emotions such as laughing, crying, and talking to someone who will just listen.

I understand now why i rock the explanation for fear is the body shaking trembling, Me i rock It makes sense now as this motion helps to calm the fear that arises it is the bodies way to heal. I hope i am getting this right
