Courage comes with not with linear movement forward .... but in steps that include going backward, reevaluating and then moving again. I applaud her courage.

I was struck by that, too. She adjusted her own reaction to pressure from her church because the decision didn't sit right with her. That does take courage - and a real willingness to engage in soul searching.
