has any one been told if you can cure OCD or obsessional thinking, i have been told by my DR that he thinks its most probably treatable i.e. managing the symptoms but not sure that its curable?:eek:mg:

I would agree with your doctor. That doesn't mean it won't get a whole lot better but the tendencies toward OCD thinking and behavior will probably always be there, like part of your personality, and may often become more noticeable or pronounced during times of above average stress or anxiety.

They are also hormonally linked, so that post-partum women for example may experience an increase in symptom severity.
