I've been away from the forum for quite a while so I apologize if there's an existing thread covering this topic. I looked quickly through the forum and couldn't find a thread.

I was wondering if anyone has tried or continues to attend the self-help group, Recovery Canada. I'm thinking of trying it out, but I'd like to hear what others have experienced from it. I think it's based on CBT techniques.

It's been a hell of a few years for me and I've come to the conclusion that I'm my own worst enemy as far as my negative thoughts, self-doubt, self-hatred, etc.

Any thoughts or experiences with Recovery Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for your response, David. I was hoping there might be a forum member with some first-hand knowledge or experience with Recovery Canada, but so far, no luck.

David, are you familiar with the methods of Abraham Low? If so, are they based on legitimate CBT methods? I think CBT is what I need to reverse my negative thought processes, but I know very little about it.

Thank you for the video, David. I really like the sayings that accompany the video slides. :)
I'll look more into the self-help group, Recovery Canada, and post my findings. There appears to be a group meeting fairly close to my location.

Thanks for the reply, Make Art. Yes, both Recovery Inc. and Recovery Canada are part of the same organization.
