Hello, i've been trying to practice REBT/CBT using the tools online. My problem with it, and i've seen little info about it, is Secondary Upsets as in it's upseting to write them out in the first place.
Has anyone have any suggestions as to how to get over this hurdle?.

i ran into this problem too when i first started with cbt. the best i can suggest is to push through the upset feelings that writing down the statements cause. once you manage to counter the distorted thoughts you will actually start to feel a bit better.

this takes practice, and once you've done this several times, writing down the initial upsetting thoughts won't make things worse initially.
 
fair enough :) yes it is frustrating. but try to remember: practice, practice, practice. it really will pay off.

maybe you can apply the cbt technique to your frustration and see where that leads you.
