Mari, I was making reference to an earlier poster having wondered why I didn't check into a hospital at a certain point when I required food and shelter. I was trying to explain that no hospital would have accepted me under the circumstances, when David Baxter explained to me that Canada has universal health care. The United States does not.

I understand that there is beuraucracy all over the globe. I just meant that I don't have access to non-emergency health care under my current circumstances. I did hear from my therapist today in the other County, and they are trying to keep my case open there so I can at least continue to get my medication sent to me until I have a doctor in this County.

Funny how things from our parents stick with us even when they are not necessarily helpful.

Yeah, funny how it works that way. Often, when having to make an important decision, I hear both my mother and father's "voices" in my head, and a lot of the time they disagree with each other, not to mention that neither one of them might be right about what's best for me. Even though both my parents are long since deceased, their influence lives on, for better or for worse.
