Domestic violence and abuse do not discriminate, but they do often escalate. It can be physical, emotional, sexual, or verbal and is often used as a weapon of control and intimidation by a spouse or ex-spouse. If you or somebody you know is being abused, help is available – do not wait.
By visiting this site, you've taken the first step towards doing something that could save your or a loved one’s life. Please see the resources available and call for help if you experience abuse in your home. It is never OK for someone to hurt you – domestic abuse is a crime, you are protected by the law and police take matters of domestic abuse very seriously. Always call 911 in an emergency.
