My OCD concerns numbers, letters, body movement and mental ordering. Unlike hoarding or handwashing, the focus of my OCD has no logical connection to any feared conseqeunces. Can somebody please help me understand what I am afraid of.

George, OCD is perhaps best understood as an attempt to minimize anxiety and maximize perceived control over the world around you. Sometimes the rituals are connected to a specific fear (e.g., catching a disease, being caught in a fire, a gas leak) but often they are not... they are just about making sure that the rituals are performed to prevent SOMETHING bad from happening, but that something doesn't even need to be anything specific at all.
