Over 2M Without Power in Florida as Hurricane Ian Moves Across State

PowerOutage.us, a website that tracks blackouts across the country, shows that the most affected areas in Florida are DeSoto County, with a power outage estimated at 99.9 percent and over 18,000 people affected, Charlotte, with a power outage estimated at 98.4 percent and over 125,000 people affected, and Hardee, with an estimated power outage of 91.23 percent and over 8,000 customers left in the dark...

Wow that's a major storm!

Fortunately, they don't have to worry about staying worm and they're coming into their fall-winter season where the heat will be less oppressive.

No, my parents moved up north to Tennessee more than a few years ago.

My only family left in Florida are on my husband's side. His daughter and three of his grandchildren live in Polk county, which did lose a good amount of power. They are still without power but doing well. My husband talked to the grandkids this morning, and they are just happy to be out of school
