Hi Roy

I come from a background of alcoholism,anxiety/depression and I myself have panic disorder.I recently started seeing a therapist after 8 years because I realized it was time to seek guidance.

I went for a long time believing that I could conquer my problems on my own,and when I finally hit the bottom in my panic disorder,I knew it was time to seek outside help..I opted for medication at the time, but didnt really think I needed therapy.

but 8 years later and finally starting therapy I now realize that just talking about what panic/fears me, helps me to to deal with situations alot clearer and with alot less worry and more calm

I also know that my mental illness is partly caused by chemical imbalance in my brain and that I cant control it all by myself..that I need help, but that I had to ask for it.

Outside support is key to recovery, start with someone you trust and can talk to openly.Take it one small step at at time..
