Does anyone have trouble with confusion while taking Lamictal? I am taking lamotigrine 200mg. for bipolar and I get confused while reading or while trying to think of what to say next. Am I the only one with this confusion?

"Concentration disturbance" is a reported albeit infrequent side effect for lamotirigine.

Are you taking the regular or extended release (XR) version, Been there Done that?

Okay. That's not an especially high dose. But yes, if your concentration were affected, it would also affect comprehension, or more specifically your short-term memory for what you've been trying to read.

Have you talked to your doctor about this?

You said that concentration disturbance is an infrequent side effect for lamotigrine. I must be the infrequent one who has this. I will be talking to my doctor tomorrow. I have written down these posts and will discuss it with him. Thanks.
