I'm listening to a mixtape of italo disco. I have no idea what the tunes I am listening to are but there is something to be said about the fact that I can't see myself be serious and listen to this music at the same time.

Anyone knowledgeable on italo disco able to identify tunes?

YouTube - Edith Piaf - La Foule

Edith Piaf is the French Version of Brenda Lee - she was pretty tiny, too:

Gotta love those crinolines. :D

Turtle should be able to help out there. She just went to Italy... and she has the calendars to prove it... :)

 That made me laugh out loud. :) Thank you, Dr. Baxter...:)

Edith Piaf wasn't her real name. She was baptized this in some sorts because she was tiny...Her story is actually quite amazing. For a time as a child, she was blind...

Anywho...Edith Piaf - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It just made me laugh. Thank you, Dr. Baxter. :)

She was named Edith after the World War I British nurse Edith Cavell, who was executed for helping French soldiers escape from German captivity. Piaf—a Francilien colloquialism for "sparrow"—was a nickname she would receive 20 years later.

That's a cute story... I didn't know that... the sparrow. :)

OH! I thought there was something off about the guys in my video. I thought maybe they were just "expressing themselves" artistically with a new look and sound.
You just never know with these crazy kids nowadays.

I have the original studio version of Chess on vinyl, cassette, and CD...and it's on my mp3 player. Awesome! (And Murray Head was THE BEST JUDAS in any rendition of "Jesus Christ Superstar.")

Broken Arrow

Who else is gonna bring you
A broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you
A bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around

Do you feel what I feel
Can we make that so it's part of the deal
I gotta hold you in these arms of steel
Lay your heart on the line ... this time

I wanna breathe when you breathe
When you whisper like that hot summer breeze
Count the beads of sweat that cover me
Didn't you show me a sign, this time

Who else is gonna bring you
A broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you
A bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around

Can you see what I see
Can you cut behind the mystery
I will meet you by the witness tree
Leave the whole world behind

I want to come when you call
I'll get to you if I have to crawl
They can't hold me with these iron walls
We've got mountains to climb

Who else is gonna bring you
A broken arrow
Who else is gonna bring you
A bottle of rain
There he goes, moving across the water
There he goes turning my whole world around
