Sorry havnt replied, been really down lately and losing internet in 3 days making it worse,i have a lawyer to go to meeting for me thankfully,is it normal for them to ask for visit to them to tell me what questions will be asked? I really hope i get approved after the 28 th meeting.

Sorry, but I don't know if that's normal or not. I think you just show up and they ask you why you think the denial was wrong. Your lawyer will coach you, I expect. As long as you still have internet, you might want to watch this video if you haven't already:

Going to Your Hearing at the Social Benefits Tribunal (ODSP: Disability) - YouTube

It's on Youtube and it's called Getting Ready for the Social Benefits Tribunal. Copy and paste the link if you can't just click on it. Really hoping things go well for you on the 28th.

Well my lawyer thinks ill be approved for at least 5 years, what happens after 5 years is what i would like to know, do i have to go through all this again? Have to wait 30 to 60 days to get answer too.

Re: ODSP Application Denied

Okay, so, in 30 days or so you will hopefully get an acceptance letter that will probably have a date for a medical review. Maybe that review will be in five years. If so, then you will have to get your doctor to agree that nothing has changed and then they will continue to fund you for another five years. You won't have to go through the application procedure all over again, as used to be the case. Good luck.

I got my approval mail today from the tribunal guy, gave me 3 years, how long will it be to get a meeting with odsp now, so happy now thanks all!

Re: ODSP Application Denied

That is good news Iandude i don't know if you have to set up a meeting with ODSP if the approval has gone through they should contact you with a letter soon.

The more information you can get from your doctor and psychiatrist the better the outcome will be also if you have had to be hospitalized and how it has affected your work etc hope with legal aid you can get the decision to be overturned as well.
