Re: 3 Positive Things

Hi everyone! :D

1. One week smoke free and $50 in my pocket instead of the variety store owners!

2. My tongue is now pink - I cannot remember my tongue not being coated with tar and nicotine and whatever else a smoker's body deposits on it - yuk! :2thumbs:

3. The weather has been unbelievably beautiful this past week - lots of sunshine and a few rain storms and a strong breeze in the air every day rain or shine - it's just the best summer week weather-wise in recent memory! :love-it:

Re: 3 Positive Things

I'm a very negative person and this is hard but it may be helpful

1. I am thankful for my two beautiful healthy children.

2. My husband kissed me goodbuy when he left for work this morning and that is
our #1 arguments lately, that he is not affectionate, so there is hope, he is trying.

3. I am at work now and I am fortunate that I have a job where I have flexible hours and I don't have to work that hard.

Re: 3 Positive Things

This is such a great idea! It is sometimes hard to remember to notice the positive things in life. So, here goes...

1. My husband made us a yummy dinner.
2. Someone gave me an adorable penguin cardboard cut-out for Christmas and it is hanging on my wall. It just makes me grin foolishly whenever I look at it.
3. For a little while today the prettiest, huge snowflakes were falling. They didn't stick (which makes it even better) but they looked so lovely gracefully drifting to the ground.

Re: 3 Positive Things

1. I apologized to my brother and sister for having got high tonight. Not as high as I have often been in the past but it causes me to talk compulsively and that can be hard on them. It's not my primary psych problem but it is something I'm given to and I like them to know that I see past my mental states, that I see them, and the impact of my mental states on them. I'm grateful that they know I care about them.

2. I continue for the most part not to eat compulsively now which - even if I weren't losing weight (more slowly now) - is such an enormously free place to be (that is, not being driven by compulsion). I shared a meal out with my sister and her husband. I observed that my sister's meal looked particularly nice. Normally that would trigger a strong need in me to eat such food, but no, it didn't today. Surprising to me still.

3. For all that I feel that I've curved inward enormously since first joining Psychlinks, I really am grateful for the level of kindness and openness and the *quality* of the sharing here :)

Re: 3 Positive Things

We've had such a wet spring that the fact that my washing is drying in the sun is quite exciting! It's supposed to be 34 degrees here tomorrow... finally, summer has arrived. :)

And my nephew is just so little! I've never looked after such a tiny baby on my own before. I'm sure it'll be fine - I can feed him, change his nappy, stop him crying, and put him to sleep so that covers pretty much most of the bases ;)

1. I started back on my novel and this time know I will not give up or tear it up into a million little pieces because I usually think it could never be good enough. It will however, be enough, for me anyway.

2. I had a day where my pain level was tolerable so it was pleasant to go out in the snow with MoJo, watch her play and eat it.

3. I felt good about just being me today, at peace, nice feeling.
