Re: 3 Positive Things

1. Got my car serviced and drove it home. First time behind the wheel since July 10! :yahoo:

2. The leg is strong and almost fully healed. I need to keep up the physio work.

3. With the help of the IV antibiotic and IM injections of benadryl, no serious complications in more than a week now. {touching wood}

That's great. I hope things continue to go well for you.:dance:

Re: 3 Positive Things

I celebrate the small things too - getting some independence back is worth a bit of :funky: don't ya think :)

I was stuck in my place for 3 days because of snow last winter - I wanted to boogy once I could back outside and not rely on anyone.

Re: 3 Positive Things

Thought I would join in too, great idea, think I will try every day to find 3 things.

1. I went to an EA meeting and let a total stranger pick me up, she is a very nice lady:D.
2. Sat through the whole 2 hours, didn't 'flee' and talked a wee bit:eek:.
3. I let 3 total strangers give me a hug, big one for me, trust issues, so very positive step:dance:

Congrats to everyones positives, especially to your healing David...well done

Okay so I will try this too:

1. Spent time with a friend last night and was very comfortable and had no anxiety.
2. Brought out fall/winter clothes today and didn't internally beat myself up over my appearance.
3. Am going to a party tonight and have qualified for a contest to win $25,000.00 (Wish me LUCK!!!!)

Re: 3 Positive Things

Went to my NA meeting today and had a good time.

Attended my first 12 step group meeting. Made it through the meeting without a panic attack or feeling nervous.

Ate a small box of Purdy's chocolates. :whistle::shock4: :D

Re: 3 Positive Things

I feel so sad and still one positive thing happened three times.

1. I crossed the bridge rather than go all the way around to get to the park.
2. I crossed back over the bridge to pick up a Canadian flag that was on the road.
3. I then had to cross back over the bridge and only on the third time I was just slightly nervous.

Just typing that out makes me feel a little bit better. Mari

Re: 3 Positive Things

Mari, I hold my breath going over bridges, well done:dance:

My 3 positives:

I helped someone last night who was being hurt out in the hall by opening my door and yelling out I was calling the police.

I called the police so hopefully the young girl got away and wasn't hurt.

I was afraid, had high anxiety but didn't SI or go into one of my deep 'funks' and came on here and read positive reinforcements to help me calm down:funky:.

Re: 3 Positive Things

Thank-you Feisty. I am still amazed - three times driving over the bridge and it felt perfectly okay and normal - not even one bit of panic. I will cheer you right back for phoning the police. One phone call might have saved my son's life but the one person who could have made that call just shrugged and said 'it wasn't my responsibility'. My three positive things for today are so personal and precious I can not share them.:heart::heart: Mari

Re: 3 Positive Things

Mari, sorry to hear about your son. Even if you don't post the 3 positive things, you had them so congrats:woohoo:

My 3 positives for today, dig hard here
1. laughed at Dr. Baxter's blond joke, :funny:
2. 'trying' to stay positive
3. 'trying' not to get more depressed

I think 'trying' should count

Re: 3 Positive Things

1. I decided that I wanted to try to think of 3 positive things.
2. I tried to think of 3 positive things.
3. I was able to think of 3 positive things (and not just these three!).

Congratulations to everyone on their positives. Have a great day everyone! :)

Re: 3 Positive Things

1. Completed my third exam.
2. Recognised an undesirable situation I was about to head into, and attempted to deal with that.
3. Presented a calm dialogue towards someone when retracting my acceptance of an offer, despite how I was/am feeling.

I definitely still have a lot to learn when it comes to negotiations  ... and I need a cold glass of water.

Re: 3 Positive Things

I like this idea, so I'll give it a try. It's early still, so not much has really happened today....

1. It's Monday, so I finally have some alone time!
2. The house is pretty clean still--a rarity after the weekend.
3. Tonight I will be making one of my favorite dinners.
