Thx for the welcomes, ladylore and David.
good to see you counting your good things ladybug- sounds like things are improving for you!
where r Mari, Arose and the others? I have follwed many of your '3s'
and am wondering how u r all doing.

anyway here are my 3 for today
1. it is beautiful out today - finally no humidity!
2. i cleaned up a mess i was procrastinating about doing. I have recently painted and papered...the fun is over just paintbrushes etc to clean up. ewwww
3. i did not disagree/argue with anyone for 1 whole day...a feat being that I have three opinionated sons living at home, freely sharing their views ( not necessarily a bad thing, but can lead to considerable bantering when I happen to NOT share their views)

Hey CuriousK! So glad you joined the positive things thread! Thank you for the prompt, I needed it actually...;)

So, today mine are...

1. One of my best friends is getting married this weekend and the rehearsal dinner is tomorrow and it should be tons of fun.

2. I'm finally off this anxiety medication that was causing me to eat all night long and that has been sooo nice to stop that eating side effect!!

3. I took a really huge standardized test that I've been studying a lot for and I'm glad to have that done.

Thank you again for joining Curious! It's great to have you!!

H! curiousk - I have too many electrons but I will try.

1 - one of my best friends is getting married next weekend.
2 - fun is not presently in my vocabulary but I am planning on going to the wedding.
3 - I will try to lose some of these extra electrons.

Hearts and hugs for me and anyone else who is sad tonight. Mari

Re: 3 Positive Things

Got some work done (paperwork, but still work) and paid some bills online.
Practiced walking with a cane instead of a walker, just inside but still felt like progress.
Felt more better with energy than in recent weeks.

Re: 3 Positive Things

Thanks. Today was a good day - feeling quite optimistic that I may have really turned the corner. :D

For one thing, I haven't had an overnight in hospital since Monday. :panic: (looking for wood to touch - stat!)

Re: 3 Positive Things

You have not had the best of luck with this, have you Dr. B?

As my mothers cardiologist assures her. You will get better!
It may seem slow and perhaps there are days where you may feel that you are worse but as you said....there is progress.

I took my mother for her pacemaker follow-up visit to Toronto yesterday. It has been eight weeks since she had her surgery.

She has a really nice walker that moves very easily and has a seat so she can sit when she is tired. At first she was very reluctant to use it but she loves grocery shopping and when she could finally go with the walker as I assisted, she was so thrilled to be able to have that mobility again. She can't wait until she can walk without using her walker.

I hope you get the medication allergy problem sorted soon. Mom was getting lots of nausea and she found that not eating dairy products has helped. I'm not sure if that is really the interaction problem with the medication but she will see her doctor next Thursday and review that with him.

Hospitals are not like home! :panic:
