Cats are great. They are low maintenance supurrvisors :)

Yes to supervisors. Not necessarily to low maintenance. Mindy-on-a-diet keeps waking me up at anywhere from 4-6 am insisting it's breakfast time and apparently because by then I have slept enough. :coffee:

I will admit that other than demands for food, snacks, and attention (especially when I'm on the phone) she is fairly low maintenance.

Just set an alarm for 3:30 am so she doesn't starve to death :coffee:

I did have an automatic feeder once, but I wasn't too impressed. But now they have Wi-Fi.

My previous calico was like that. Would slightly bite my toes sometimes. And when I had carpeting, would starting tearing out the carpet if I had the bedroom door closed :) Another tactic to get breakfast was to knock things over, including glass onto the kitchen tile :D

My old cat sounds much less manipulative in comparison ;) But then again she used to share her requests around the family and knew who would be the most receptive at what time of day, so maybe that makes her all the more cunning.

I was dumbfounded when my old housemate's cat used to bite at my ankles to try and get me to provide breakfast. Like are you kidding me, cats actually do this?! I had to feed it then leave the packet out so that my housemate wouldn't give her more food when she eventually woke up hours later. Sometimes she still got 2 breakfasts.

I wouldn't describe Mindy as manipulative. More like demanding, like my ex-wives. :D

1. Got 2 free movie tickets from my dentist (for leaving an online review).
2. Sister-in-law's infection is resolving, and she will be out of the hospital soon.
3. Nurses at the hospital were very nice and upbeat.

lol Clever dentist!! Mean, but clever. I think I have to go to the dentist to see if another one of my teeth has met an untimely death. I’m getting the same symptoms as when I had the last one die. I must ask him, what the hell kills the pulp/nerves in a tooth!?! Aside from my dog accidentally head-butting me in the mouth occasionally, that is...

  1. Decided not to go to a drinks night with colleagues last night because I was tired, miserable, it was cold, and it started at 8pm which is too late for me. Instead I was in bed by 8pm and didn't feel bad about ditching once I talked myself around to it.
  2. Went for a bike ride this morning. 7.5km-ish to try and work up to the full ride to work again. I'd like to find a way to ride 5km twice a week (spaced out with a few days in between) but haven't been able to navigate a way of doing that yet.
  3. Have reached a semi-zen state about the latest drama with my neighbour. An improvement from my over the top anger about it yesterday.

Bonus: I had a milk spillage in the fridge but it was isolated to the recess in the tray so it didn't get on anything else and was very easy to clean up. How lucky was that :)

  1. Sat in on an interesting presentation at work.
  2. No news today about the blocked sewage pipe at my apartment block.
  3. Discovered mold on my water bottle and have now cleaned it off. (I think I need to improve on my positives skills, some of these ones are a bit questionable.)
