Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

I’m so sorry you’re missing so much sleep!

I'm actually sleepintg more than normal. Problem is some people play games I play with MS Excel. And then I get Hyper Focused and the rest of life disappears. Then I sleep my life away the rest of the time. All or nothing :dontknow:

Maybe it’s all that
:coffee:
you keep drinking.
I have no idea what you are talking about :coffee:

And I start longing for some kind of apocalypse where all the money and bureaucracy doesn’t matter anymore. I’m probably over-estimating my abilities (because ADHD) but something tells me I would be pretty good at survival tactics. It would be preferable to financial trouble and dealing with forms and receiving calls from people who need technical support. After the apocalypse: no more technology. lol Gonna have to use Ravens to deliver messages.

Now that keeps me anxious and up at night. Knowing technology and the make believe "trust me" money. we're all just a sun storm or Nation State sponsored attack from being told our virtual money went poof in the night. Only advantage to dealing with a Canadian Bank is I'll probably get the "Sorry" with the "You're f***ed" :panic:

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

I could probably handle payment in eggs and chickens. They’d pay for themselves. Get a goat or a few sheep to mow the lawn.

Get a goat or a few sheep to mow the lawn.

You'd also inherit a free fertilizer enterprise too

You'd have to change the "PLEASE DON'T WALK ON THE LAWN" Sign though...

Maybe have 2 for if you're in a good or bad mood...

Good mood "YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO WALK ON THE LAWN!"

Bad mood
"FEEL FREE TO WALK ON THE LAWN!"

:D

lol lol

1.) Feeling relieved that somehow the major problem of Great West Life communicating with my psychiatrist is finally over with...

2.) I’m seeing said psychiatrist on Jun 24. I may get more time off because I feel I still need to get more ADHD coaching, and my David still has to follow through on a few goals...

3.) Almost done sending info to our financial advisor: that ADHD coaching is being put to good use. I scheduled time to do the gathering of info, and I’m following the schedule! [emoji106]

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

1 - slept pretty much all day yesterday on and off after my extended period without sleep of course that Also means I e been awake since 2:00am lol

2 - Have not been out except for 3 or 4 smokes in last 8 days. But also haven’t even been to check the mail in 9 days which means I haven’t started the car either in that long.

3 - Not even worried and not going today. Will have to go tomorrow and make sure battery not dead since I have to go see cardiologist in Winnipeg Wednesday. I can’t wait to see the fun I have getting the flyers out of my tiny P.O. Box

Would you like to borrow one or both of my roosters to help you regulate your sleep? :coffee: The CDC warns against keeping live chickens in the home due to Salmonella issues, but maybe if you bought enough diapers...

Thanks Daniel,

but I don't think that:

1 - He would survive the shipping
2 - He would be allowed to imigrate to Canada
3 - I would be able to pass off a live rooster as fresh meat for later in a no pets policy building
4 - If he passed 1,2 and 3 miraculously.... He would go from rooster to roAster the following day after making noise :D

1 - Called Shaw Direct (satellite TV) and terminated my service. Waited forever on hold.

2 - I was subscribed for over 12 months when I put service on seasonal disconnect in April so the HD-PVR Dual Tuner Receiver is mine to keep. (300$ + tax) Only cost me the tax on the promo. Can lend, give, sell or keep incase I change my mind at a future date.

3 - Took Rogers NHL internet off my budget for October. Not renewing. No TV and no internet Hockey next season.

BONUS: Now the really tough decision to make:
  • Stay as is for cell and home internet while I have the 6 months discount I jus got and risk no special cell data offer at end of 6 months from Telus or Rogers and be stuck paying Ma BellMTS a fortune for what I have now till a good offer reappears There is always a possibility of a Black Friday or a Christmas time promo... which would be before my current discount ends.
  • Switch to Telus cell get 10GB (+5GB Bonus for 24 months) for 65$ / month No setup fee of ordered online and free sim + $50 each for me and my friend referal. BUT Offer ends July 2nd
  • Switch tp Rogers cell for 10GB (Ulimited data but capped at 256kbs after that) for 65$ = Billed at $75 (-$10 credit for 24 months) no Setup fee in ordered online. Offer ends July 31

I'm wondering if staying and risking not getting a good cell data deal before Christmas sounds like a good idea?
Feel free to shoot off any suggestions of what you might do if you were in my position

Procrastinate endlessly and never make a decision? Oh, you probably wanted good suggestions, not to hear what I'd actually do.;)

I need to update my mobile plan. $20 for 1.5GB data a month and $500 worth of sms and calls. I want more data but the thing is that my current plan includes calls overseas to certain counties which I don't do often at all but it was useful when I needed to talk to someone from a hotel in the US before my last trip.

" Procrastinate endlessly" never thought of that one

I'm hoping that $500 is a typo ? :panic:

Haha, it's my default position ;):D

Nope that's what it is. $500 for Calls + SMS to standard Aus and international numbers, per month. Pretty standard here (apart from including international). No one's ever going to use that much, unless they send 2000 sms's. Or it's like $1/minute for a call for those who like speaking. Of course now people just base their plan on the data inclusion.

Edit: that is, "$500 included value" for $20/month, if I'm not being clear.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

OK you scared me there... damn we pay a fortune here in Canada. Worse in other provinces. I pay 55$ +tax for 2.5G and unlimited canada wide calling and texts

Note: Scratch Rogers from my options. They say one thing and write something else or their reps arent well informed. And from past history with an ex gf having loads of billing issues with them years back plus the problems I have had with their NHL web access more than I would like... It's Telus or stick with BellMTS

Canada's exorbitant mobile rates have been well-known for years. Various governments at various times have threatened action but very little has ever come of that.

For the consumer, there's very little we can do since all of the providers basically fall in line with Bell, Rogers, and the big one out west that I keep forgetting.

You got that right! They all match each other now.

The big 3 Bell, Telus and Rogers have like 90% of the Canadian Market and are alone in most of the Country.
Then There's Videotron I think is big in Quebec.
There's a few little players in a few big Cities.

Up until a few years ago when MTS the Manitoba Telephone company was bought by Bell we had plans that offered unlimited data with speed caps at 10GB for 3G and 15GB for LTE. And the competition was feirce. Telus started offering Canada wide unlimited calling rogers would offer at one point $300 to swirch from MTS.

Then there is Shaw which is the western Canada Cable company. Never understood why they didn't get into the cellular game.

For years them and MTS fought it out for TV, Internet and home phone services in Winnipeg and a few big cities. People would go from one to the other and back (They called thise installs Winbacks). It was a blast installing for them in that period. People felt bad when we came back to do an install or in some cases for seniors recover the equipment. I'd smile say more work for us that's allready prewired. I Started as a sub-contractor then a contractor employee doing peice work. If I didn't have health issues like 2 heart attacks in that period I would have made a fortue when we started switching existing customers to the new HD-IPTV service. We were paid a flat rate whether the basic cabling was there or not ad extra if we had to change or add extra cabling. Some jobs took less than 1 hour for 125$ at the start. We did supply our tools, vehicles and fuel etc.

I was on one job for 8 hours once. One job I had to install, uninstall, re-install shaw rush because if the lady missed her one weekly TV show that night I was toast. Got shaw up and working 15 minutes before her 7pm show :D I did get paid 2 install fees for that one. Then go back and reinstall once they resolved the line issues somewhere up the road. As contractors we did not do telephone pole or CO (Central Office) work there was a crew that took care of any wirig to the premise and even helped us in extreme problematic cases. I loved that job. Oh and when I moved I got the install transferred to us and did my own install and was paid $100 for the old SD TV install and 3 months later when HD was available I was the first one to get it in my area and I got $125 to install my own upgrade ;)

These days it seems any animal has diapers or can have diapers made for them...

Not sure about fish or reptiles.

I suppose an snake could just wear a mumu.
