Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

But... Blue cheese is terrific with Buffalo Wings... I’m not big on Blue Cheese on much but, as a dip for spicy chicken? Oh yeah!
My bf let me try a blue cheese crumb from his pizza one time... That was one time too many.
However a few months ago I had wings with two dipping sauces - one ranch, the other blue cheese. We were sitting outside and it wasn't well lit, and I actually couldn't tell the difference  Maybe they gave me two ranches by mistake.

Ranches are a lot of work. All that herding and cowpoking and getting critters to market and "Get them sheep outa here! This is cattle country!" stuff. Oh yeah... I've seen the movies. I know what it's like.

Speaking of which, Australia's film industry is booming and getting better and better. Have you seen Australia for example?

And if you can handle the language, have you seen Ozzy Man Reviews - YouTube? Hilarious.

Here's one of the milder ones but warning: not suitable for work or young families that don't swear yet...

Warning: stronger language in this one...

And in England:

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Sour cream is bad milk. True.

So is yogurt. And cottage cheese.

Real cheese is not.

Yeah, but cheese is formed by coagulation of the milk protein casein. Which sounds like really old dried-up milk. So it may not have gone bad, but it sure sounds like it got pretty close. lol

Anyway, I have only had the dressing. I have not eaten a wheel of actual blue cheese. Or whatever container Blue Cheese comes in...

I love it when you segue with such smooth transitions, Boss. Have you been watching Monty Python or are you just showing me what it’s like to listen to me? [emoji2955][emoji850]

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

No I’ve just been watching a lot of great films lately and I’ve been amazed to see how many are made in Australia and/or feature Australians.

Monty Python Flying Circus is British but I’ve been a fan of them since they started in the late 60s. I also loved Fawlty Towers which came later and most of the Monty Python movies, especially The Life of Brian. The only one I really disliked and do not recommend is The Meaning of Life: just too gross and over the top for me.

Okey doke!

1.) Seems I can’t seem to get to bed until 4 am these days, so I’ve started with my cellphone’s alarm ringing every 15 min until bedtime. But I might go to bed just before 2am because I’m starting to fall asleep while holding the phone. A couple days later I will check my response to a comment and it will fizzle out likee ee eeeeeeewwsssmnsl

2.) My David’s been feeling blue lately. I’m leaving out piles of verbage, backstory, and explanation, but due to a couple of “inconveniences” which I later felt turned out better than the original plans for supper, and also, of course, cheered up David so much after a rough month for him... Evening ended after we split take-out for supper with the neighbour, I finished the planned supper and it will be oven-ready tomorrow. And with my David and I teaming up to slice veggies tomorrow, we’ll also enjoy some fresh spring rolls. Main course will be Meatless Meatloaf that actually tastes like Meatloaf! [emoji2]

3.) It’s supposed to warm up tomorrow after a very wet, cool, grey several days. Ugh! Can’t wait to get outside and hopefully there will be some sun!!

Off to bed, now. It’s 2am...
TTFN!

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

  1. Finally figured out the work-related drawings for my high priority task at work. I'd spent hours last week trying to determine what rivets were needed, and the problem was (a) half of the information was in a completely different drawing which I stumbled across by pure luck, and (b) it seems for the others that they just don't like to specify and you're meant to know that it could be one of the standard ones. :juggle:
  2. Accomplished that today before the laptop battery died.
  3. Made dinner, made a slice, and made a big mess in the kitchen.

Bonus: I had 4 answers in my email to my therapist to answer his 1 question (ranging from what my standard verbal response would've been in the style of "dunno" and "not really", to explaining why it was hard to answer, to an actual real attempt to answer which I thought was pretty good all things considered)... And came up with a 5th (even better) answer this morning.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

BONUS: Husband is eating more protein now that the new line of fake meats have been developed. (His favorite food was ground beef before becoming a vegetarian, and this week they are releasing Beyond Meat ground beef.)

Or maybe it was some kind of Blue Cheese Ranch...

That really is the way to go. Just give your favorite food product a bath in it so you don't lower the blue cheese ratio :coffee:

(My husband uses so much ranch dressing on his salad sometimes that it is more like a shallow bowl of dressing with some lettuce on side.)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

1.) I find your stories and humour very motivating/mood-lifting.

2.) Thank you for helping me when I hit my low points. It feels good to have some experienced/professional peers who have “been there.” You “get” me. [emoji3590] I hope I help you in a similar manner.

3.) Today I mapped out a lot of things and turned it into a kind of summary of what I am looking for in a job. I’ve posted it on my LinkedIn account. I am amazed at what I used to do and what I’ve done recently outside of my “real” paying job! lol I happen to be on stress leave, and I wanted something to do, so I figured I’d like to invest in my husband’s published music and help distribute/promote it.

Because, ya know, I have ADHD, so I have to do SOMETHING (or some things plural) or I’d climb the walls... lol Maybe I shouldn’t, but I’m still waiting to hear from the Mental Health Support. I see my psychiatrist on Monday, so will ask her if she can refer me or do I just call and request/set up on my own.

I was wondering if any of you could have a look at my “Summary” and tell me if I need to make changes, or if there are spelling mistakes, etc. Where can I post a copy of my “Summary?” Should I send as a private message?

@H011yHawkJ311yBean I don't know if you're directing that question to @Daniel, or me, or someone else, but you could copy it into a PM for privacy and send it that way.

All of you, actually. lol

Or anyone who asks to see it... The more input, the better, I figure...

Um... So I don’t know who wants to/has time to/feels comfortable with checking out my Summary... Which of course is probably too long, technically, to be a Summary. So first I will send PM to gooblax, Gary, FMN, Daniel & Dr. B to ask, and then just let me know and I’ll send it to you.

It’s shorter than a lot of things I’ve done, but it’s probably still longer than it needs to be. lol

*** Edited to let you know I got an Inbox from Daniel who suggested I post it in the MVP forum. So maybe I’ll do that? [emoji2]
