Re: 3 Positive Things

1. Ok, the sewing didn't get done - yet! - but the filing, which is *very* important - has started, just a little at a time. Yeah!
2. The woman who had groomed my dog before he died called in today to see me. A lovely woman. I was sorry not to be seeing her again and she said she would visit sometimes. Good!
3. Something else, about the same woman, but a different matter: talking together, she shared that her faith gave her and her family great comfort. I said that mine did too. I knew only that she was Christian and then, just before leaving, she said she was Jehovah's Witness. We both expressed how wonderful it was that our faith gave us so much. By that time, she knew that I was Spiritualist. That it is the very time in my life that I have ever had a converstation with someone with that belief who was open to sharing different beliefs. Perhaps it is true for other Jehova's Witnesses but I had never experienced it before so, for me, it was remarkable. We hugged. I hope that we do see each other again.

Re: 3 Positive Things

I'm going to have to cheat and use things from the whole week rather than just today, but...
1) Went for a swim at the beach with my parents (after being dragged out of bed :p).
2) Tried to help paint the house for a few minutes.
3) Have decided to try to make thinking of positives become a habit.

Re: 3 Positive Things

It's cooled down wayyyyy too much here in Ottawa - we've had lows of -31 Celsius and highs of like -20-21 C this week. :panic:

I guess I am lucky to be in Toronto where it is -20 C -30 with windchill. At least you can skate on the Ridue without the crowds if you like Dr Baxter :teehee:

...too cold for me here in the Maritimes. -35 degrees with the windshield. Staying where it's warm! :) Not humanly meant for this weather. :)

...correcting something - meant windchill - my windshield is fine! ;)

Re: 3 Positive Things

Blowing some of the warmth from downunder across to the others side of the world .. ***whoosh***

Gooblax, it's wonderful news :D
And boi, I'm delighted that you're feeling better :)

At 25 degrees (centigrade) here, I consider it too hot. Don't like heat at all, but -35 degrees (fahrenheit, I take it) is still much too cold for me too.

We are having (typically for this time of year) 40 degrees centigrade on somie days. Then I can't leave my air conditioner at all.

Have posts to reply to but must wait till another time to do that. Wanted only briefly to pop in to this thread to list my "three" positive things - except all of them are the same, because it is *so* important:

I did my meditation today :yahoo:

Nothing in my life has ever worked so effectively to restore me emotionally, free me mentally, and to help me lose the need to overeat. It's an all-in-one cure. Have been working well with my counsellor and I think that it is that which has helped me - for now at least - to overcome much of the resistance to doing the meditation. More than anything, I hope and pray that the resistance is kept at bay with the practice arrived at with my counsellor. The world will be turned fully around if it does ! :)

...Celsius. And I appreciate you're sending us some of your warm air :).

I'm happy that you're feeling better through meditation Amastie and I wanted to offer you my support in feeling better very soon.

Re: 3 Positive Things

Ok, that early night I was going to have has gone and went :D
Just time to fit this in because it's so important to me:

1. Did meditation three times today - for the first time in *many* months
2. As a direct result of the meditation, chose *not* to take home food offered to me from the baby shower held for my niece.
3. As a direct result of my meditation, managed to steer clear (for the most part - and with help <lol> ) of putting myself down heavily for being a klutz and spilling or dropping things at that same baby shower.
... and tomorrow is another day that, more than anything, I want to come back to it...
4. (Cheating, I know) I have more hope than in a long time.
