Re: 3 Positive Things

1. I sent out a wish for peace, I spoke the words aloud, as I walked alone through the home of a friend who died only months ago, when invited there to celebrate (in memoriam) what would have been her birthday. I believe in the power of thoughts to spread good.

2. I've been able to do the dishes now for a few days

3. Out for lunch with friends, I said no to the last piece of food on the table when I was offered it, as I always am - not just offered it, but *expected* to take it. I said no, and I removed myself from the role which decreed that I always eat the last bit of food. Maybe it will take saying 'no' more times before I am no longer seen to fill that role.

Re: 3 Positive Things

One# I am taking the time to think of some positive things because I tend to dwell on the negative. That in itself is huge for me right now.

Two#I got some good advice from this forum which has helped already and some perspective that I didnt have before.

Three# I reconnected with a friendship that I thought that I had ruined because I stopped wanting to talk to people. Turns out the friendship is still there.

On the first and the third I can especially understand!

1. Reminded by adaptive how just looking for positive is a good thing :)
2. Had very nice lunch with extended family yesterday
3. My dog is resting comfortably

Might see if I can reply to a couple of posts tonight.

Otherwise,

Goodnight :)

Re: 3 Positive Things

Seems I'm to go next after my own post, but here goes:

Three things which support me most in this moment

1. I believe that I am a spirit learning through everything I experience
2. I believe there are many other spirits, helpers, "guides" who are present for me even when I cannot feel their presence.
3. I love learning

Goodnight :sleepy:

Re: 3 Positive Things

1. Started some "level 2" activities from that 'game' I made up, even if I haven't yet managed to finish those activities.
2. My mum cares enough about me to make sure I get out of bed in the morning, and asks about what I've been doing all day.
3. NCIS is on tv tonight. (Might as well keep the theme going, eh?)

I love this thread, it really makes you think:jiggy:

1. I really feel like I am trying to be more positive.
2. My mood is better than it has been for several months, I think it is because of hard work and effort on my part.

Re: 3 Positive Things

1. Found out that I got decent results in all my subjects this semester.
2. Allowed myself a bit of happiness regarding those results (without jumping down the "not good enough" road immediately).
3. Shared those results with family members who offered congratulations.

Re: 3 Positive Things

:) Thanks wp - I didn't see this post at the time.

My 3 for today, since I really do find this to be a helpful exercise:
1. I sat with my dog when I was feeling lonely, and she let me hold her paw.
2. My dad rented a dvd for me - he thinks I'll like it... I'll just have to watch it and see. It's the thought that counts though. :)
3. (Since I can't actually think of another one for 'today', as such...) My mum is getting home from NZ tomorrow night, and we're going to meet her at the airport.

Re: 3 Positive Things

Wow, I have missed this thread all along :fool: As I always say to people, I am slow, but my intentions are always good! haha haa

Well, for yesterday I will post as today it now it is 8:30am Saturday.

1) I had a rational discussion with a friend over issues that were bothering me for quite a while. I was afraid he would be upset, but he was very kind about helping me understand.

2) Mom had an idea for a craft we are going to do together.

3) I comforted a friend in great need.
