  1. I found this thread again (is Part 5 really the latest one? Has it really been 2.5 years since I posted 3 positives?!)
  2. Chopped the extra broccoli I needed to add to my dinner, and did dishes tonight.
  3. The main reason I hunted down this thread tonight - I just realised that I haven't become stuck focusing on any of my typical automatic thought traps today! Horray for a day without annoying thought misfires.

In reverse order:

1. Got $200 off a laptop. May have been a price mistake :) (Had two oldish laptops and both had hard drive failures.)
2. Coursera certifications (free after applying for their financial aid). Edx is cool too (but no financial aid for certifications).
3. My husband cut down his cigarette smoking to almost nothing for the last month.

  1. I have sinks in my bathrooms!!!! After a year with only the laundry tub in the main bathroom I keep forgetting and going to the tub. Parents did the finishing touches on the tiling and got the plumber in for me. He just has to come back to do the shower taps.
  2. Knee is feeling more normal today. I'm going to try a very short bike ride on the weekend at the recommendation of the physio.
  3. Umm... It's Friday (Friday, gotta get down on Friday... Yes, I went there.)

1. Just found out about a free "big data" (computer geek) conference in Phoenix a month from now.
2. My 16-year-old dog is still able to walk due to Prednisone. (It has significant side effects, but it's still a miracle pill in my book. We had to carry her into the vet before she went on it.)
3. Had Ginger Pad Thai for the first time. (The restaurants here have healthier options than certain parts of Florida.)

Grateful Daughter is showing stability on the ADHD medication
Grateful for all the caring staff at this hospital especially the Psychiatrist who really truly cares
grateful daughter is with me this weekend

  1. Last night I decided to end my indecision, and will be buying a Nintendo Switch. Just the thought of getting one made me feel so excited that I wanted to watch heaps of reviews, decide what games to get, and find out where I could get one on sale. So that basically made the decision for me. I don't remember looking forward to something this much in years (USA trips being the exception).
  2. During my research I came across the successor to the Banjo-Kazooie games that I loved on N64. It's called Yooka-Laylee and was released early last year for other platforms. I've been out of the gaming scene for so long that I didn't know about it, but now that I do I'm very keen to play it.
  3. Well, it's not feeling like a positive that I have almost 2 months to wait until Black Friday which hopefully will have reasonable sales for the Switch, Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild... and then Xmas/New Years (hopefully) for Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu... and Yooka-Laylee at either of those... But I guess it means I have 2 months left of pretending to be a responsible adult before I disappear back into game land. Although now I won't be able to talk about much else besides games as I try to be patient.

Oh and bonus one, because apparently non-game related stuff is already taking a backseat

4. Helped my neighbour track down her phone that she lost in an uber. She was very flustered about it, but should be getting it back so it's a good result

Tires and poultry:

1. I got 4 new tires for my aging sports sedan (so I can wear them out again on the 100+ mountain curves to town -- as featured in a car magazine as a cool ride!).
2. My hen who broke her wing recovered completely after first aid and two weeks of partial isolation.
3. My husband's tire was fixed for free.

I just don't go to work the few times it snows. Or drive like it's the year 1900. Even with all wheel drive, I have done a 180 in the snow/ice...on the side of a mountain...with no guardrails

Hehe I remember my first 1080 on the snow coming off the Mercier Bridge going towards Kahnawake in Quebec way back in my first winter snow drive while working delivery. Stopped right on the side of the ditch headed in the right direction. I was so dizzy from the spinning I didn't know where I was after I finally stopped spinning. Ahh, the good old days. I learned to drive in all conditions, in snow, one day had to learn to drive a standard shift with 10 minutes practice while working delivery at supper time! Woohoo! :D Best job I ever had

1. So glad the summer is over. (Even the chickens love cold weather compared to warm weather.)
2. Love GotFreeFax.com. Used its free service to send my insurance info to my dentist. (Works in Canada too. Found out about it at Psychlinks years ago.)
3. Not living paycheck to paycheck this month! (And got a new mobile phone on clearance for only $35 at Walmart.)

1. Outsourced the stressful job of nail trimming for most of our dogs (letting the vet techs do it due to black nails, etc).
2. Less than a month left of political ads on TV.
3. Only paying $25 a therapy session with an intern who seems like a better-than-average psychologist.
