Ooh, apps! Very cool.... I admire your attitude of just doing it!
Ha thanks. I just figure I might as well try since there's plenty of tutorials etc., and if it's too difficult then at least I tried it. I finally got around to it after a couple of irritations:

  • I was playing a Guitar Hero-esque game, but it doesn't have good music/beat recognition or any way of tabbing your own songs.
  • I want a good graph/database app but am too lazy to filter out all the ones that don't do what I want them to.
  • My Dr suggested the Cloud Clinic app to me when I went to my appointment... except I don't have anything that runs iOS.

Obviously making anything useful is a long way off, but I enjoy this sort of thing when there's no pressure to have it all working correctly by yesterday.

Exactly!
And hey you never know...... very cool things sometimes do eventually come out of a situation of freedom and time spent just, you know, tinkering around. Besides, it's just cool and good for you. Heh heh :)

1. Watching my David get healthier and feeling better over the last three days! ^_^ So far no unscheduled visits to Emergency, no fevers, no abdominal pain. This 3rd round of chemo is the "best" so far. *crossing fingers that it continues that way* And he's halfway done!! 3 down, 3 to go!

2. Vocational Services called me. I am a bit nervous, but kind of looking forward to talking to someone about an alternative position/job that isn't as stressful and is more of a fit for me.

3. I sent a letter to get our income reassessed and it looks like we've gone from paying 57% to 32% of our prescriptions! THAT IS EPIC! :D Now in the process of filling out a request to get money for Disability from David's Canadian Pension Plan...

*woot*

My skin is looking and feeling much better, I've been really trying to take care of it.

Remembered that I had a great CBT program on my old phone (Cognitive Diary by ExcelAtLife), and the format made it much easier for my fuzzbrain to do CBT. Keeping my old phone handy for that 'cos I had made handy customisations too. Reaping the benefits.

Doing a couple things I *can* to support family with a couple big developments - not thinking and stressing about 'em all the time and realising it's all too huge for me to make it all good or anything. Got a clear head to think what are the most useful roles I can play and how. Some energy and motivation free to do things important to me, sort some stuff out, and some neglected housework.

1 - I've finally recognised that punishing myself only makes me feel worse and any gains achieved by it are very, very minimal. For real. I didn't set up an experiment with measurable results, but once I came up with the idea for the experiment I immediately started dreading the proposed "punishment days" and just wanted to delay the whole thing with a series of "neutral days". If it feels that horrible then it doesn't make sense to do it as an experiment, and certainly doesn't make sense to keep it as a routine part of my life. Duh.

2 - Had the day off today.

3 - Managed to go clothes shopping alone. Once I'd walked around for a bit to get used to the situation, I actually managed to look at some things and even tried a couple of things on! In multiple stores! WIN.

- HELL YEAH I didn't get sick with my husband's flu. At all. Lately I often suck natural lozenge things and use throat sprays that have echinacea, zinc, vit C, menthol, immunity stuff etc, and eat active honey, 'cause my throat does this weird itchy thing quite a lot and I'm not sure if it's like semi-dormant viruses in my system, or what. But hey if all of that stuff made my immunity stop his horrible flu from getting me, then yay for that. :D I'll remember those things when I'm around anyone's germs....

-Found some good tools and information eventually that my niece can use to make study decisions. Also I haven't been obsessing about it, instead when I've had some time I've just found some good tools and got questions answered. Plus if she knows nobody is necessarily there to sort things out, figure things out.... someone you know may get around to helping you with something, but they might not.... it's an encouragement to develop discipline to manage things and not be lazy about important matters, and to realise that you'll live with results of whatever effort you have or haven't made to manage your life.

-I've consciously planned to do housework then watch a movie tomorrow, and I'm gonna do it by golly.

1. Got out of the traffic congestion in only less than 2 hrs.
2. May get lucky enough to have a shower before I fall asleep:D
3. Will not meet with my gifted child's teacher for an update on her A+ report card. Instead, I will call her and tell her I have the flu, as I am way too furious to meet with anybody after spending almost 2 hrs in a traffic congestion.
4.:mad:Never Again! driving the same route at the same time of the day:facepalm:

Oh no, that stinks... Hope you got your shower and to sleep.
I had something similar this week, except it was an extra 1hr45mins related to floodwater vs. public transport. However, the positive part was that I didn't get wet from the extreme rain, eventually got home safely, and the street wasn't flooded when I did arrive home so it was all fine for me in the end.

1 - I'm back on an interesting task at work.
2 - Had a couple of social chats with my supervisor.
3 - Went for a short jog this evening.

Good for you gooblax. Jogging is very helpful to overcome these difficult to cope with emotions. Any exercise helps. If you commit to it regularly, I believe it will help you feel so much better. Especially combined with self-help techniques and/or therapy. I know hitting the Elliptical or Treadmill every day does wonders for me. Jogging is super cool.

1 - Morning jog got me somewhat motivated. I've been doing it about 4 days a week (weekend mornings, weekday evenings) which is a big improvement from 2 months ago.
2 - Bought my housemate a b'day gift (just alcohol, but since I don't drink it was my first time buying something from a grog shop so I'm absolutely counting it as a positive).
3 - Got some groceries with the intent of cooking myself an actual dinner. May have to do that tomorrow morning before my housemate's awake just to avoid kitchen weirdness, but I need to cut the "demotivation for dinner with a side of chips and smores" crap.

1 - Last night was good. I went to a party wearing a shirt I got from the boy's section of a department store, because I liked it and felt comfortable wearing it. A couple of people said it looked good.*Seems like I managed to find something that doesn't make me look weird/daggy/sloppy and I can still feel like myself in, so I'm pretty happy with that.
2 - Had water and soft drink at the party. The soft drink was a poor choice, but just the fact that I didn't spend the whole time feeling thirsty but not consuming any liquids due to weird thought processes was excellent.
3 - Went for a short jog this morning even though I reaaaaally didn't feel like it.

1. Went scuba diving - it was awesome.
2. Snorkeling and watching the fish swim around me.
3. Had the best Cappuccino and best Coffee tequila in my life. They were awesome.
4. Now having a tropical cocktail after soaking in the jacuzzi.
5. Honestly, I am not lying and still haven't lost my mind, although I am about to.

Figured it was about time that I dust off this old thread.
1. Got some exercise after work (mix of both intended and unintended).
2. 4 days since I last self harmed.
3. Feeling calm right now.
