Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Wow you have been busy great work GaryQ now time to rest and enjoy all that the hard work brought you. The pickled eggs look delicious have not had one of them before but sound delicious.

You definitely need to try at least one. I don’t like the ones with that have herbs etc in them just the plain 3 parts vinegar 1 part water and salt. Hadn’t had any in years. Last jar never had a chance to sit the recommended 2-3 days lol after posting I “tested” 2. Just posting about em makes my mouth water lol

It was more a matter of being against the wall more than anything. Still on the mirtazapine not as bad as the first few days. Got a short nap then the Télé-Care nurse called at 1:00. Going back to sleep now

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

I don't think I've actually ever had a pickled egg either ;)
@GaryQ well done on getting all that accomplished. Why was it urgent? Playoff hockey?

  1. Only swore at work once today.
  2. Made a phone call without writing a script.
  3. Started the workday with another corporatese gem.

I bought a jar of baby pickled beets recently. Even better than regular size :)

Was against the wall because cleaning was getting impossible with everything out everywhere. Moving the TV stand was previously impossible with the broken middle support (broke off in the move. Well more dried up and separated at the joint) and moving this here to put that there over and over was driving me crazy.

There’s 3 games left to the regular season and Montreal plays 3 top teams. Still technically alive for the last wildcard playoff spot but it’ll be hard to make it unless they will all 3. Nail biter pretty much till the end.

I've had a hard boiled egg while pickled but I don't think that counts..

LOL not really but it’s funny enough to say sure.

In Quebec pickled eggs, pork tongues (to die for) and sausages were tavern food. You ate them while getting pickled.

Pickled pork tongues not available here. Walmart has them listed online but never seems to have any in stock.

1. Survived my nerve-racking remote presentation to other grad students (and got an "A").

2. Dog who was limping is 100% back to her old self. (The vet thinks jumping off the couch while being overweight is what caused the problem, so we are trying to help her with both factors. She is now eating low-calorie snacks like carrots and green beans between meals.)

3. Feel like I am living on a farm with our two roosters now crowing during the day (not just the morning).

Congratulations and well done :up::D
Glad to hear that your dog is doing better too.
I'm not sure I'd be able to manage that as a positive spin for the crowing rosters but whatever floats your boat ;)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Way to go Daniel on your presentation great work. Glad also your dog is doing better and has been put on a healthy snack plan now. Roasters crowing lol be interesting living there for sure.

 exactly my thought... Roasted and then peace be returned to the land and sleep be much better on a full stomach without any roosters begging to be roasters

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

1 - Had a great time in Winnipeg today

2 - Montreal Canadiens won tonight against the powerhouse Tampa Bay Lightning. Hurricanes also won and the Blue Jackets lost. 2 games left to play (Washington and Toronto) for Montreal. It's do or die because if there's a tie at the end of the season between Montreal and Columbus, Columbus gets the tie breaker because they have more wins. Can't be any closer at the end of the season.... 1 point separates 3 teams fighting for 2 wildcard spots :panic:

3 - I think the Mirtazapine not good for me … (proof below)

There was a CNN story a few years ago about a guy who lost weight eating a lot of eggs and oranges.
