Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Not insensitive at all. I don't know what is easier really sadness just bubbles up and i try to use anger to keep it away. Anxiety i cannot seem to get it under control it just escalates so fast sometimes and the fear comes i think because i cannot get that control back i just can't. so i guess sadness for me is sometimes better then anxiety.

I’m sorry all this has happened in your life, all these hard things going on with your daughter’s mental health treatment (or rather lack thereof) and then your mom passed away. [emoji22]

Have you had time to see your doctor/psychiatrist or psychologist? Or are you pretty savvy on how to manage your anxiety in other ways? I mean for the anxiety, specifically.

Of course it’s normal to feel everything else (sadness, anger, even some anxiety is normal, etc). I don’t know what would happen if I was in your shoes, hon. You somehow can step up when things are so so hard. And I sure hope you also remember to take care of yourself as best you can during this time.

Here’s a symbol of rebirth: it reminds me of you because you keep rising from the ashes, FMN.

She reminds me of Rocky in a way; Keeps taking a beating but keeps getting back up. She's a survivor and a lot stronger than she thinks.

And no matter how rough things are going in her life she always has the time to come and lift someone up.

A truly inspiring lady

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

1 - Decided I wasn't changing my winter to summer wheels myself since I haven't been feeling great lately. No sense risking injury to save money.

2 - called a few places for prices.
Booked at Canadian Tire in Steinbach Friday afternon. Comes to about 42$ with fees and taxes

3 - Booked there they were bit cheaper and I can finally use my 18$ of CT money for something. So should cost me under 25$. We have a small flat buggy here so I can haul them to the car and back into the storage without too much lifting and straining.

Weird I never go there anymore. I guess not buying tools anymore helps keep me away. Last time was last october when I bought the storage shelves and the wheel covers to store them inside. Of course both were on sale. I do like their order and pickup thing saves trying to find an item or trying to find somone to help find an item and no worries about it not being in stock as you get an email with confirmation when it's ready to pick up at the service counter.

Oh and I also went for my free oil change end of October. Maybe I'll be lucky again and get another free oil change coupon this fall. I don't even make it to the 5000km mark once I reach the end of the year. I bet if I put some of that long life synthetic oil in it. the car would probably be dead before I needed another oil change  Actually might have to check in on that...

Also like Timex! Takes a licking, keeps on ticking.

Yes, FMN, I know it probably doesn’t feel like you are, but you are. Which is why you should take care of yourself every chance you get!

You’re one of those loving people who have to stay strong too long. We got your back.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Yes it's sad how they go to extremes with volunteer selections. But, Unless she has an actual criminal record for anything then the report should be blank. They shouldn't be allowed to ask for anything else than a criminal record check or a child abuse registry check and only under cirtain circumstances and run-ins with the cops for mental issues are not criminal records unless charged and found guilty by a court of law.

Keep up posted how that goes please!

Maybe write down a daily log of everything you do and throw it at whomever dares to once again says you do nothing all day. Sheesh.

1. Another car flashed their headlights to let us know something was wrong further down the highway. (Bunch of freerange cows in the middle of the road after a curve.)

2. Flowers on cacti.

3. My dogs experienced the luxury of fresh, "human-grade" dog food delivered by Fedex on dry ice. (Was half off for first delivery, so had to cancel after that. But will make more fresh food for them from now on.)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

A lot of people have more colorful records (e.g. bar fights that result in jail time), so I am hopeful even if it shows up on a report.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

ya hopeful they understand she was not herself but am exhausted rough day will take her tomorrow for dam police check and omg if something shows i have to be prepared for a very very very unstable daughter.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Hope it all goes well for you and your daughter fmn.

Mine for today:

  1. Finally got the thing out of my eye that had been bothering me since I woke up.
  2. Had half an hour mini chat with the old boss and another team member to discuss things that aren't going well in this new org. Probably not going to help anything but the new boss gives priority to the old boss' input compared to ours so maybe old boss will be able to talk some sense into new boss for some of this stuff.
  3. It's Friday which is good I guess.

even if something shows up it doesn’t mean she won’t be accepted. They usually take the actual type of incident and the risk it poses to according to the volunteer position

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

It says on the form she has if it does not come back negative then she will not be able to stay on as a volunteer
just wish had more support but oh well will rest some more get up early tomorrow and take her to get it done
See my grandchildren tomorrow if all goes well! My oldest granddaughter turned 9 on the 15th celebrating her bday tomorrow

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

1 - AMD finally got their CPU act together 2 years ago and only getting better and cheaper! Still to be confrimed but expected to be released Q3 2019

2 -
Capture.PNG

3 - Me thinks my budget will be taking a hit this year. My 3rd Generation I7-3770K currently overclocked at 4.4Ghz has lasted 7 years and honestly Intel hasn't made upgrading to any of their newer and still highly security compromised CPUs worth it for a little performance increase even after 6 generations and insane prices for slight performance increases.

AMD Ryzen tweaked my interest a bit...
AMD Ryzen 2nd generation tweaked it a lot but didn't quite push the trigger button
But the 3rd generation has me ready to push the upgrade button once reviews/specs and prices are confrimed and of course available. They'll probably be "out of stock" for a long time once they hit the market :D

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Been on the go since 6am home now will rest for an hour then head out for hour drive to see Granddaughter for her Birthday celebrations

Police report came back negative thankful for that one so she can still volunteer at wildlife rehab place

Twin is very ill she walk to walk in clinic and they told her to go to hospital she walk there and was horrible mistreated they are just cruel to her she was vomiting extreme pain .
She told them she felt like she was dying dam them for assuming she was hung over well idiots she wasn't.

Her disease was progressing the doctor finally saw her and was appalled at how she was treated as he could see how ill she was.

She had two iv bags of steroids given to her he said if it was much later she would have gone blind sad so sad they would not even give her a warm blanket.

sorry Someone finally recognized her as my twin that nurse use to work with me and i know her she is very caring she got my twin a warm blanket and treated her with respect.

The other nurses were told off by doctor and then and only then did they start treating her with some respect.

Their excuse was they did not know what her disease was and did not realize it could be life threatening xxxxxxx

Grateful she got an older doctor who know the illness and was able to treat her quickly and got her stabilized .

He is also going to notify the walk in clinic doctor about her disease.
i ask my twin to go to patient advocate and tell them yet again how she was mistreated.

SOMETHING has to be done to stop this abuse not only to my twin but to all the mental ill pts that go through emergency

They are pushed aside and told literally to be quiet they are so dam uncaring they are.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

*sigh* I had a big long post and forgot to post it... !!!

1.) Monday: had an appointment with the Pain Clinic. If the Pain Clinic is aware that your spouse also has back problems, your spouse gets to come along with you to get shot of Cortisone, too. Or 7, in this case.

2.) I now have CBD oil (with 0.08) and it works really well. I only need the syringe to be .01 mg. I am still a little tender around my injection sites, but any muscle pain is gone! I also have a hybrid oil that helps me sleep and wake up pain free in the morning. I take the same dose. I don’t have a prescription, but I am setting up an appointment with my doctor today to get one.

David has had a prescription for MJ for a few years now. I am trying to get my David to take some CBD oil (daytime) instead of smoking it. I know smoking provides nearly immediate relief from pain, but then he’s high, too. Plus the amount he pays isn’t consistent and same with the effects. He coughs terribly sometimes. He says he’s working on rationing his smokes a bit more. Today I had him try the CBD. At least it would be more consistent if he could use it l, we’d pay the same amount each time, and it could help him back off the smokes. Crossing my fingers.

3.) I saw my ADHD coach on Wednesday this week. I am still practicing mindfulness, jotting down things I do, so I can actually “see” where the time went and ensure I am not doing “too much.” lol Because how do I know I’ve done enough and need a break if I don’t realize I “should” be tired. lol I actually have to practice taking more breaks! Not going from one thing to another to another. Taking a “break” from one thing by going to another activity is apparently different from doing nothing between activities... lol I am also still working on NOT feeling guilty about taking breaks or asking for help. I have to remind myself: “Normal” people take breaks... “Normal” people ask for help... I’m trying to be a bit more “normal” and less automaton. I mean, c’mon! I need to be reasonable with myself.

David is also stepping up and more and more often does little things around the house that I don’t expect him to do. This means a LOT to me. He also acts as a bit of a timer and I’m working on being less of a Badger when I’m hyperfocusing on an activity like gardening (which I love to do but sometimes over-do).

Thanks for listening everyone! [emoji3590]
