Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

I’d totally miss his health play-by-plays

I'm training to be a sport commentator for the senior's Olympic games
And you been away too long; pretty much everything I post has a play by play description

and his healthy cynicism!!!

Well you are good with words... you managed to be able to incorporate the word healthy and me in the same sentence!

*please read with genuine tone/concern: do not look for sarcasm where there is none*

I appreciate the concern and Thanks for clarifying.
I learned the hard way best to do it before someone takes it the wrong way and saves having to write an "I'm sorry was just being silly" post in response

I can clearly see your cheek protruding from the pressure of your tongue all the way from here though :D

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

1 - Started the day off with a health dose of Vegemite..... humor. evenly spread out too :D

2 - Going to Winnipeg to see that internal specialist at 11. I hope my doc sent her a detailed file cause if she asks me why I'm there all I can think to say is "I don't know? and neither does my doc so he figured he'd dump me on you?" What's wrong with you? "Might be easier if you ask me "what's not wrong with me?"

3 - Will find out later if the guy can top up my car A/C later today while in town. Might have to crawl under to connect it myslef like 2 years ago. Focus: Built Ford DUMB! Fill valve in under the car behind the plastic wheel well. Think I might get a real fill kit with guages if I have to keep topping it up every year. Fixing it would be another option but you can't get parts in canada without an A/C tech registration number even at the scarp yard.

Time to get moving. later dudes and dudettes ;)

I'm not sure it's fair to expect a medical specialist to fix your auto air conditioning. :coffee:

And by the way, make sure you never buy another Ford. We are all allowed to do that just once just to learn our lesson.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

lol I was thinking that your internal specialist isn’t really a “specialist” if he works on people AND cars. Oooor maaaybe he iiiiis... [emoji848]

Maybe he works on EVERYTHING’S internals... Earth’s Core, Housing Electrical, Trees, Mariana’s Trench, Cars, Conspiracy Theories, Doughnut Holes, Secret Service, the Opioid Crisis... Cake...

Exactly. I always assumed A/C repair was included with universal healthcare :coffee: (<-- herbal tea, not tomato soup)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Maybe should of done the opposite told HER (the specialist) that my A/C/ needed filling and my A/C guy that I'm losing weight and my doc is worried. But seeing he's like over 300lbs he probably would have slapped me with his bear paw upside the head since he also has heart problems and is way overweight. he needs a helper now just to connect hoses to a car. and I'm going to go complain I'm getting skinny? I may get suicidal thoughts but they tend to avoid PAIN! :panic:

Doc was sweet. Says nothing really wrong with me internally. Gave me requisition to do blood work and lung x-rays and then see her end of July again. She wants me to see a psychiatrist she knows. Not too happy because the 2 she mentioned work out of the Health Science Centre (like 10$ just to drive by the parkade there) and that's where I had my bad experiences with the day program tha was useless and my 10 sessions of ECT that got me really addcicted to being put to sleep (no joke) Just some other really bad flashbacks from the place coming back from my experiences there
and that really rough period of time in my life
is all. I think she mentioned it was through a clinic there and not the actual psychiatry department. Will wait to hear back from whoever she reffers me to and get confirmation first. If it's through ther Psych department at that hospital I'm not sure I can go back there. Just have to wait and see I guess.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

^ Good to hear that it wasn't as stuffy uppy as it initially seemed :) Fingers crossed that it's not at that place, or that something can be worked out.

Some positives from me:

  1. Made waffles at work today
  2. Went to bed early to deal with (or avoid dealing with) messy thoughts
  3. Bed is warm

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

Haha :) One of the guys bought a cheap waffle maker in and leaves it at work. We chip in for ingredients and make them on Fridays for the 8-10 people on the team. It used to be a regular weekly thing but stopped for awhile, now it's making a comeback.

1 - The greatest thing about sleep besides the obvious physical need for it is the adventures you can have that would never be possible in real life.

2 - sometimes though you can have some pretty weird freaky dreams; :panic: the greatest part of those is waking up.

3 - the next best part is when you brain finally realizes it was just a bad dream and let’s your heart rate come back down albeit slooowly under 200.

Just woke up from a really weird messed up dream. My heart was beating so fast I’m actually more tired now than when I fell asleep. Spent most of the night awake then fell asleep around 7. Would just go back to sleep now but they’re doing some stupid plumbing and electrical inspections in the apartments sometime this morning. Strange they didn’t do that last year. I figure you got problems with plumbing or electrical you tell them. If you don’t tell them usually means you got no problems, duh! Not hard to guess what I’ll most likely be doing when they’re out of my place. Just glad its not fire alarm smoke detector tests today. I’ve had enough cardiovascular exercise for one day.

Bonus: it’s unbelievable what the mind can conjure up while it’s supposed to be recovering and resting

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

It's all part of the new management strategy encouraging waffling at all levels of the organization. :coffee:
I don’t get that  but that’s ok. It was either funny and flew over my head or wasn’t and still flew over my head.

It was hilarious. :D

Waffle (speech) - Wikipedia

The term may be derived from the Scots verb waff "to wave, fluctuate". To waffle, particularly in the U.S., can also denote indecision about particular subjects, or changing one's mind frequently on a topic. Example: "Craig always waffles when he's speaking to Genevieve on the telephone". It can be used as a derogatory term; to describe, for instance, a candidate or politician who is considered to easily switch sides on issues to curry political favor (i.e. "flip-flop"), as an easily flipped breakfast food with the same name – hence the waffle famously used to represent President Bill Clinton in the Doonesbury comic strip.

Urban Dictionary: Waffling

waffling
adj. or verb - indecisive; unable to make up one's mind; playing the safe middle ground due to one's own lack of conviction or sense of morality.

There's also this: Urban Dictionary: drive-by waffling - I had never heard of this but in a certain context it might be fun:

The act of throwing a frozen waffle at somebody from your car while driving real slow. Upon impact, laugh and speed away.

And of course there's always the famous quote from Eric Cartman from South Park while having dinner at Kenny's place:

What side dishes will we be having with our frozen waffles tonight?

These coffee-normative posts are potentially offensive to tomato-infused beverage consumers :D

And for those who prefer tea in their soup:

Tomato and Jasmine Tea Soup Recipe

your complaint and comments have been received by the upper levels of management of the forum. After deliberations we’re happy to inform you of the following:

We see no issue with the comments in question so just suck it up buttercup :coffee: :D

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 5

No I think we need to give Daniel's complaint the more serious consideration it merits. I'm still waffling on the issue personally. :coffee: <- does not contain anything involving tomatoes or jasmine
