1. Saved money on shoes. $60 pair on clearance for $15.

2. Got a lot of deals at Safeway, like shredded cheese for 77 cents and half-off gourmet crackers.

3. Downy now sells "calm scent" fabric softener. Perfect timing :) I do like the lavender.

1. My parents are going to visit my grandmother tomorrow. She's in palliative care and they're only allowed in 1 at a time, have to stay 1.5m away, but at least they can talk and see each other for now.
2. Played some keyboard and guitar at 4am since I've been awake since 2:20 with no success of getting back to sleep. Reminds me of having jetlag.
3. I have some pancake batter in the fridge which is hopefully OK for me to cook, once it becomes a reasonable time of day.

BONUS: Neighbor mechanic had time to tow us home (since our radiator was leaking real bad, causing the car to overheat even with snow on the ground).

Bonus #2: Apparently the policy was that only one nominated person (my aunt) was supposed to be allowed to visit my grandma but my parents and brother were allowed to today (after driving 3 hours there, I can imagine how pissed off dad would have been when they would have tried to tell him the policy!). They all wore masks and stayed 1.5m away, disinfected hands on entry etc. My bro got to play piano for her which is cool - must have been OK to go to the break room.

Bonus #3: Successfully made some fudge. Guess the last time I did it wasn't a fluke after all!

Maybe you can post your fudge recipe :)

That is really cool about the piano and the visitation.

On TV, they had a dog who would play the drums as part of a band at the "old folks home" by wagging his tail between two drums.

This was the fudge recipe I used - Caramel Fudge :) I'm used to ones that use sweetened condensed milk, whereas I understand it's harder to find in the US.

Haha that band dog sounds funny. My cousins' old dog would constantly whack legs with its enthusiastic tail wagging so it could've been put to good use between some drums.

1. Amazon delivered my new radiator, and it only took one day to arrive.

2. Enchilida sauce was in stock at the grocery store even though it was sold out at Walmart.

3. I love my homemade hand wipes made with dry wipes from Amazon, 91% rubbing alcohol, and witch hazel.

1. Expecting to hear about 50% work from home arrangements either today or tomorrow.
2. Stomach ache (which I currently have) is not a COVID-19 symptom. Only possibly dodgy things I've had today are milk (expiry date today) and work hot chocolate (presumably milk powder in the machine, maybe that's gone bad)... So I dunno what's up with me at the moment but it'll be fine.
3. Rode my bike to work today so if it persists as a distraction I can ride home early rather than waiting for the bus.

Bonus: Even though I never got up the nerve to ask for a locker at work, it doesn't matter because we no longer are allowed access to the shower/lockers in this building while this stuff is going on. I'll have to see if it's worth trying the other building.

1. Dollar General is my new favorite store. There are usually only a few people in the store, and they had toilet paper last week.

2. My prescription histamine eye drops (olopatadine) are wonderful. No more dry eyes.

3. The movie 1917 is now available to rent.

1. Car is now perfect -- new radiator and we got the A/C fixed too (all for less than $200 in labor).

2. The war movie 1917 was very slow but good -- makes you grateful for being alive. And it did not have a lot of violence, relatively speaking, for a war movie.

3. The new "bold" Canada Dry ginger ale is excellent.
