1. Almost been a week since my last therapy session and I've only thought I should quit therapy 1.5 times so far. ;)
2. I'm really struggling with the magnitude of my positive feelings towards my therapist, but in the scheme of things there are much worse problems that one could have.
3. It's sunny even though weather of 16deg C at the moment is uncomfortably cold for my hands while I'm inside trying to work.

1. Finished a semi-large web project, adding ecommerce to the site.

2. Got my laundry done finally.

3. Installed a new network card my son bought me. Improved internet speeds from before and after tests plus the old one was integrated with the motherboard while the new one is separate, freeing up some processor cycles so other things on my desktop are now also running faster.

4. Just got my second ocular migraine in less than a week. :( Maybe from the extra screen work fixing small details.

1. Had fun putting my SUV up for sale on Craigslist. Selling it for a more camping-friendly minivan.

2. Arizona is perfect for making sun tea. I usually use the tea bags that already have sweetener in them (Splenda).

3. Walmart continues to sell premium chicken feed (Eggland's Best), so I don't have to make a separate trip to the feed store.

1. Got a used minivan with more features than we have ever had before (like backup camera, blind spot detection, and two screens for watching DVDs while camping). Main reason we replaced our SUV with it: stow-and-go seating for camping, hauling plywood, etc.

2. No problems driving it home (over 100 miles).

3. Google Maps now lets people know about speed traps.

Indeed, the best thing I did to avoid a big ticket was sell the sporty Audi last year. Even though it was old, you could go 20 miles over the speed limit and still feel a need for speed. Now I drive more like a hippie who just read a book on the slow movement ;)

1. Sister in law is out of the hospital from having hip surgery after falling on Friday. She is doing great and is now home, walking with a walker.

2. I love Walmart again. Got Goodyear tires for only $50 each, installed while I went shopping.

3. Our plumbing is horribly outdated, but our neighbor handyman fixed another busted pipe for cheap. (We have upgraded some of the plumbing with PEX pipes but not most of it.)

How to have a difficult morning:
Step 1: Continue feeling miserable about therapy and don't get out of bed.
Step 2: Eventually get up and check the grocery catalogue while absently picking the skin on your face. Pick a raised blood vessel. One that's on your nose in a really awkward spot.
Step 3: Don't start applying pressure until blood has dripped on your pants.
Step 4: Wash it off to create a giant wet patch on the pants you're still wearing.
Step 5: Use a tissue to apply pressure... to nose. Ignore the pants.
Step 6: Optimistically, after only a minute use 1 hand to prepare a plaster/bandaid for application. You still need to get groceries soon.
Step 7: Place one side of the plaster on your nose while still maintaining pressure with the tissue.
Step 8: Notice optimism slipping away as you quickly remove the tissue and press down the pad of the bandaid, only for blood to leak out the side.
Step 9: Ignore mental images of going to the shops with blood dripping down your face like some sort of bad horror movie. Wipe the blood and reapply pad.
Step 10: Immediately try to wrap the other side of the bandaid up the bridge of your nose in the hope of applying adequate pressure.
Step 11: Observe, in temporary defeat, as the pad soaks through over the next 20 seconds.
Step 12: Remove bandaid and reapply tissue.
Step 13: Kill time by typing up 13 steps with one hand.
Step 14: Slowly remove tissue and observe results.

Edit:
Step 15: Remove chance of it stopping when removing the tissue.
Step 16: Neatly, as neatly as possible with one hand and zero patience, fold a second tissue and apply it in place of the first.
Step 17: Wash and dry hands one by one so that at least neither have blood/tissue on them as you resign yourself to an hour of single handed activities.

Have you considered animal-assisted therapy? I consider my chickens as behavioral therapists since I have to wake up early to feed them :) Same with my younger cat. And my dogs are the most like "therapy animals" to me since the cats are more like part-time during the day.

:(

Did you eventually get your shopping done?
Nope, my new tissue was in the way of my eye (once I thought it stopped) so I tried to cut the tissue, was obviously too rough with my cutting technique, and it started up again. Shopping abandoned at least until this afternoon. Managed to eat cereal in a normal way with one hand.
Aside from a time agreement with my boyfriend, the main reason I wanted to get groceries this morning was because it's meant to rain this afternoon. I don't fancy walking in the rain on the way to/from getting groceries.

I hadn't. Looks like the nearest location to me offering it as a professional service is 1hr45min by public transport.
I would like a dog but need to learn to drive and move to a house first. A cat would also be good except for when I visit my parents - it seems mean to leave a pet for a week (hence driving with the dog, I know cats don't typically travel well in cars and it would be stressful for them) and there's no one I'm comfortable asking to look after a pet while I'm away anyway. Then I cycle through various other options before arriving back at it just not being a good idea until I sort out driving.
