When we were kids, my brothers and sisters and I called tapioca "fish eyes in glue". :D
Haha I've tried to like tapioca pudding (because of liking bubble tea) but I just can't. It's just not good. Boba pearls are larger which gives them a better consistency IMO. Although it might just change it to "bigger fish eyes in tea".

The most cultured thing I have had lately is Dunkin Donuts mocha latte cereal, which I found at Walmart. It was pretty good but only has about 1/10th of a cup of coffee in it.

Works for me :D I had leftover macaroni with cheese (but not mac & cheese as I didn't make a cheesey sauce) for breakfast on Sunday ;)

 They do serve all day Mexican food at some places here. You can even get a shrimp burrito for breakfast :D

A lot of people staying home due to COVID-19 lose track of what day it is. Might as well lose track of the time of day too :D

1. Was slightly early riding to work today, which was good because the other person who rides in was also slightly early so I wasn't stopping her from using the shower for too long.
2. Figured out how to do one thing on my new work task, using tutorials.
3. My cubicle colleagues aren't at their desks today. I'm kind of used to having it to myself so it's annoying when they're here.

Bonus: I forgot but this was my main positive - no one was around this morning when I was making a drink of milo at work, and discovered that the milk seemed pretty dodgy. After deciding I wouldn't drink it, it took me a little while to decide what to do with it before I poured it down the sink and opened up a new bottle.

Edit: Bit better than making myself drink (and likely getting slightly sick) it because of not wanting to throw it out, or skipping the milo for the same reason, or opening a new one but leaving the old one there.

1. Arrived early for my counselling session and found a good spot to sit in the park.
2. Got to witness a great Australian showdown - a magpie swooped at a plover!
3. Hopefully my untalkative mood disappears for the session.

There’ll be magpies over
That poor Aussie plover
Tomorrow just you wait and see...

Magpie’s version:

I’m looking over
An Aussie plover
That I’ve never seen before...

1. The Nintendo Switch game I ordered has arrived at the pickup location... But I don't know if I can get there before 5pm on a normal weekday. All the bicycle hassle of last time has put me off, even though there's no way the game will be a repeat of the giant box situation.
2. I've been enjoying playing my Switch (specifically Super Mario Odyssey) lately. Since I brought it over to my desk a week ago I have played it more than in the previous 8 months.
3. I'm having some trouble with making positive choices when emotionally feeling kind of weird, but coincidentally it's sort of something I discussed with the counsellor albeit in a different context. And last night I didn't make a negative choice. I dunno if it's a good idea to discuss it with my psych though because we've had a good couple of sessions lately and I don't want to initiate a bad one. If I bring it up I'll need to be very clear on telling him what responses will be unhelpful (ie. anything where I come away with the impression that he thinks I'm being lazy and weak, not doing enough activities and should suck it up and ignore it and go do other things and be productive instead of being selfish and whiney and useless, having feelings about something I shouldn't, being overly emotional and pathetic) and make sure we clarify that I'm not at one of those conclusions at the end of the session.

1. Some academic conferences are now free (due to being online due to COVID-19).

2. My calico cat came back within a couple hours after escaping.

3. Taco Bell in my area has been remodeled and looks almost fancy now.

1. Managed to avoid any neighbours this afternoon /tonight.
2. Played some more Super Mario.
3. Clutching at straws a bit on this one but at least I know that my therapist cares about me less than some other clients, rather than incorrectly assuming that he cares more than what little he does.

1. Aiming for 5 bike commuting rides this week but I need to improve my post-ride stretching routine to avoid injury.
2. Trying to accept the positive feelings towards my therapist without getting stressed about it.
3. Going to get some help on my task today.

1. Got a $10 Amazon credit since they were late delivering a birthday gift.

2. Husband and I had a good day, including finding Impossible Burger on sale at the grocery store.

3. Neighbor mechanic fixed our van's A/C for free since it was a simple fix. (A rat or mouse must have been trying to make a nest. There was a piece of plastic from a solar light in our yard that a rodent put near the blades of the A/C fan. We use peppermint granules to deter rodents from our vehicles but forget to put them in our "new" van.)

BONUS: Another neighbor came over to visit, and he said he learned all our dogs' names from us calling for them over the years :D

1. Survived the catchup with my old housemate without any super awkward moments.
2. Noticed that my plant had about a hundred bug larvae on it and did my best to remove them all without having any remain inside my apartment. Could have been worse if I hadn't noticed them and they grew into a hundred flying insects inside.
3. As much as it sucks to return to thinking about how my therapist cares about me less, I knew it was coming when I decided to read the thing I read. And I've been through this plenty of times so it's not unfamiliar territory.
