Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

Mine was a particularly good one since it was caused by cardboard. But I got the inner joint of the finger and my upper palm so it's mostly out of the way of being in contact with anything but just gets stretched if I stretch out my fingers (e.g. pinky on Right Shift and index on 8 to make a *). :)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

That sounds like an annoying place for one. Good reason to transition to a paperless office ;)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Not doing anything negative with the sad feelings I've been having on/off since yesterday.
2. Today someone told my bf that he's their best friend. He was really pleased to hear them say that and I'm so glad that my bf has a friendship where they can talk openly about stuff.
3. No bacon and egg muffins at work today (some Fridays they do them on the bbq outside) but I made one when I got home as part of an early dinner.

How on earth do they expect people to work with no bacon and egg McMuffins?

I think that violates international labor laws. :coffee:

BONUS: After a few hours of work, the front gate is now finally 100% chihuahua-escape proof. (So there is less need to supervise him when he is outside.)

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Went for lunch with people from my old team.
2. Got plenty to keep me busy with the new task.
3. It rained a bit and I didn't get caught in it.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Emailed to ask someone if they could help me with the task I'm stuck on. Was nervous about sending the email but it's gong to be ok.
2. Have a team meeting later this morning.
3. Air quality where I live has been pretty good for the past few days.

Bonus: Found a guided meditation for feeling triggered/upset which helped me to not act on a negative urge. Definitely going to be reusing that one.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Heard some new bird calls this morning. I hope they stick around for long enough for me to figure out what birds they are.
2. It was raining really heavily at the time I would normally leave to catch the bus. The weather radar showed it would be a short one, so I decided to just get a later bus. 30 mins is not worth getting drenched and having to get changed into dry clothes.
3. Woke up with strong anxiety but it is gradually dissipating.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

The news here reported that heavy rains in Australia actually extinguished 30-40 brush fires which is welcome news.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

Until today I kept seeing conflicting headlines saying that the rain has helped vs. not helped. So I just haven't been reading them. Now they seem to have converged about it helping. Although there's apparently been some flash flooding in Victoria too.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

  1. Went for an early evening walk and saw 9 geckos outside. None inside.
  2. My dud tablet managed to turn on so I took all the files off it. It still won't charge.
  3. No strong feelings about therapy today.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

I first read this as "I took all the flies off it".

New battery time? Or is it more like new tablet time?
If I had flies on my tablet I'm sure I would have a gecko inside
I'd go for a new tablet if I was going to replace it. Not sure if I will, because its main purpose was for if I had to travel somewhere.

I feed the wild birds to also help keep them out of the chicken coops.
I don't think I want to feed them, we get too many pigeons and noisy miners as it is. I haven't heard those new ones again so they may have moved on.
