The chickens love it. It is like junk food for them if given too often (due to being too low in protein, etc). I mostly give it to them in the winter to help them stay warm.

1. O.M.F.G. I think I finally solved the mystery of the beeping smoke alarm. I thought I only had 2 smoke alarms - one in each bedroom. The one that I thought was faulty didn't have a battery in it (I must've taken it out another time and forgot to replace it). The other one I knew didn't have a battery in it, because I'd taken it out and been too lazy to put it back up when I got the new batteries. After confirming this, I took both smoke alarms out to the garage one by one. Yet I was still hearing occasional beeping. Not all the time, just every couple of hours it would beep occasionally then stop for a few hours. I checked the internet installation but it didn't seem to be coming from there (plus the light says battery is ok). I listened out in the hallway. I put my ear near the floor. Unable to localise beep to any of these locations. I only just realised that I have a 3rd smoke alarm in the living room. That MUST be the culprit. Battery has been removed for the time being to confirm. If there's no beeping overnight then tomorrow I'll replace the batteries for the "good" two alarms. Still need to replace the expired alarm. Only took me 4 days.
2. Pizza on pita bread for dinner.
3. Started trying to learn Cantonese. So far I know about the 6 tones used for jyutping.

Haha. Just a little green tree frog sitting by the front door. Much better than the cane toads that we'll start seeing over the next couple of months.

BONUS: The motion-detector driveway alarm has finally paid off, though in an unexpected way. When the alarm went off, we noticed our neighbor's dog had run away and was coming here. Neighbor was very grateful when we returned him.

1. Speaking of noise cancelling headphones... There are 4 people on a phone meeting, who are all in this open office so I can hear most of the meeting. Why not get a ****ing meeting room you asshats?!! All of upstairs is empty, go there! Go anywhere! Putting on the headphones before I do more than make passive aggressive loud noises getting them out of my drawer.
2. It's Friday.
3. Going to take a break from trying to learn what to do to analyse beams with aspect ratios less than 10,because that was clearly a waste of time this morning.

Bonus: Ended up almost losing my **** so I went upstairs into a MEETING ROOM to have some quiet time. Funny how the rooms designated for people to meet and have business disourse were empty whilst people were having their meeting where it could disturb people who aren't involved.
Had an hour of quiet time before going back to my desk.

1. On Saturday I learned that given the right (wrong?!) circumstances, the body can perform an uncontrolled, unintentional nose-blow. Interesting albeit with rather gross outcomes.
2. My "punishment meal" yesterday morning of a sandwich with canned spaghetti tasted better than I remembered. Not sure why I decided that was a good punishment meal other than it being easy but not tasting good, while also not being the same boring stuff I always have.
3. Dinner last night was really good. It used a lot of oyster sauce, but that's not a bad thing given how long I've had the bottle. Leftovers tonight and I'll just need to add more veges for the next 2 nights after that.

1. I like my new psychiatrist.

2 My husband heard my Google smartwatch alert that I had a phone call. (I forgot my mobile phone ringer was off. And since I wasn't wearing the smartwatch, I would have missed my psychiatrist calling me for today's appointment.)

3. Enjoying watching a live virtual conference on the psychology of data/info visualization.

BONUS: "See" my new therapist tomorrow. Confirmed with my insurance I get unlimited therapy visits and no referral necessary :woohoo: And a lot of insurance companies, including mine, have no co-pays for the rest of the year for outpatient mental health and/or telehealth appointments.

1. I like my new therapist so far and will be seeing her weekly.

2. This was my first telehealth (online video) appointment, and it felt just like being there in person but more relaxed, if anything.

3. Taco Bell lets you put black beans on anything.

2. New donut shop is pretty good (and perfectly located next to Taco Bell).

3. Got a 4-foot decorative indoor Santa for only $25 at Walmart.

BONUS #2: Found a recipe for Black Bean Donuts :D

Will you volunteer to try out that recipe and report back? :)

Years ago, while traveling mainly in Pennsylvania and Ohio, I had some amazing new food experiences that seemed to be native to those two states. One of these was Black Bean Soup which I found at a local restaurant or truck stop. Absolutely the best soup I've ever had and I haven't seen it duplicated anywhere else.

1. Found out my husband's psychiatrist is a vegan, and she appreciated my suggestions about the Impossible Burger (like seasoning it makes it taste less like real meat).

2. Still like my new therapist.

3. Supposed to snow this weekend.

1. I'm nervous about going to the bike store to get the stuff I need, but I'm still going to do it because I have to.
2. The hardest thing to get (new tyres) is also something that isn't mandatory for me to get. If it's too hard (because I don't know what the store has in stock, because I don't know whether they keep them in their backroom such that I can't browse and would have to engage with one of the salespeople, because I only have a vague idea of what I want and don't see the benefit in narrowing everything down then finding out that I still have to talk it through with a salesperson and they don't have it in stock) I can just get the tubes and order tyres online some other time.
3. I have the option to walk some of the way home if I don't align with the bus schedule, so I'm taking some sunscreen with me just in case.

Bonus: Did my store trip and now just on the way home. Got immediately assisted by someone before I had a chance to look. They didn't have any of my size tyres in stock, but I got the tubes and light.
