1 Car started like a charm
2 I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. When I got to Toyota and called asked for the service dept she said they were all in the phone. Can I get them to call you back? I said oh, they told me to call when I got outside for my retorque. She said I'll go let them know. Next thing I notice is a guy in a shirt and dress pants no coat. Wound up it was the owner with a torque wrench. His brother also owner came out too had a good chat. Not too many dealerships if any would have the owners come out when everyone is busy.

3 They rented the other side. Funny part is they're my new neighbors to my right in the building and now in the garage. And they speak English!

Not the best pics but the first is the old garage strip I'm the 4th from the far end and second is my car's future home. He's coming to clean it out tomorrow morning.

It's been years since I bought any tools or even walked in to Canadian Tire or Princess Auto etc but I've been pretty lucky since I bought my car (the winter tires wound up almost 1/2 price)

Now that I'll have me stable garage lined up (well, as stable as possible here....)

1 - Needed a new air compressor just something average for occasional use. I left mine behind in 2015. Crappy ones are expensive. Sale started today at Canadian Tire Looky what I found :)

002 Screenshot 2020-11-26 053232.JPG

2 - Although I have a crappy air hose reel my decent hose stayed behind with the compressor this half decent hose was also on sale.

003 Screenshot 2020-11-26 053232.JPG

3 - I Have a few wrenches for rusted or stripped bolt heads etc but been wanting a set of quality sockets for a long time. Had a set of 5 on clearance in my wish list and when I clicked to see if they were still available I saw these as suggestions. These are in that might only use once in a blue moon or even never but you only need it once and it pays itself off :) 70%off. That's my buy for maybe need some day minimum discount.

Curb side pickup later today.

Well seems they closed CT for the week. Curbside only. Good thing I ordered online.

1 Just got the email that my order is ready.

2 I got the garage key and remote and

3 My A/C got wrapped up for the winter outside (thru wall) and done for free again.

Bonus: Go get the order and then get some stuff at WallyWorld since I'll be a block away and come home and try and get some sleep.

Thank you. The "ham" was orange-colored inside, and it did not really taste that good compared to tofu turkey. But with enough glaze it tasted okay and somewhat ham-like.

My sister-in-law brought a homemade cherry pie and that was better than anything. But she was here for only two hours and I had the window open, air circulating, two HEPA air purifiers, a humidifier, and I ate 6+ feet away. Since she has so many medical problems, is elderly, and she was too cold to eat outside, I didn't want to take any chances, even though it was her idea to come over. She did like the 10-pound real ham we made for her and her husband, and she took the rest home.

1. I still have leftovers for one more burger for dinner tonight.

2. My brain has gone into slightly-anxious-can't-focus-on-work mode but I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I'm just going to try to understand and work step by step though some calculation and see if it leads to an answer or if I still get stuck.

3. Did something ridiculous which I'm sure you'll find amusing. My mobile and desk phone rang at exactly the same time. I was expecting a call about a work delivery so figured it was about that. In my rush to answer, it seemed like there was no response on my mobile so I thought my desk phone might have redirected to the mobile, failed, and I still needed to pick up the desk phone. That's how I found myself answering two calls, from two different people, at exactly the same time. One phone at each ear, and not being able to really hear either of them.

I very slowly said into both phones "sorry I just got 2 calls at exactly the same time. So I'm going to put down ADAM (my coworker's name who came up on my mobile caller I'D) and talk to... YOU (whose name I'd missed while my brain was busy exploding at the absurdity of the situation I'd got myself into)."

I'm just a walking comedy sketch

Black Friday. Amazon. :woohoo:
dollar symbols (except one) removed to keep @gooblax happy ;)

Intro: Got a 15.00 "confusion credit" when I bought my 4K TV. In March 2019. worse part is I got the TV delivered on time before it showed any tracking info. So technically never should have gotten that credit :D

And never got a chance to use it.
Did not buy anything from them Till I needed a Chinese knock off Toyota Diagnostic cable this September but you can only use the credit for sold by Amazon stuff. So could not use it...

1 - It's black Friday as I was looking for a 90 degree adaptor cable for it and found one on sale for 29% off for 9.98 (ODB2 port is right above the gas pedal pointing down so no way if needed would I do a test drive with anything plugged in there) sold by some company and shipped by amazon so no tax add another 12% saving but still can't use credit

2 - Been needing more AAA rechargeable batteries looked if any deals and found a 10 pack for 15.19 color coded same brand capacity and specs are the regular bland ones I have and only like 50 cents more than the regular 8 pack also one sale.
And well same as #1 no tax and still can't use my credit...
These deserve posting a pic though. Cute colors but like seriously what's the point? You can't see them when in use

3 - Like gooblax my mouse left button in the "bed office" is driving me bats double clicking all the time but it's over 10 years old and the keyboard is a cheap one that's probably 15 years and half the keys have no print left. So as it acted up quite a but while searching was a good reminder it was time to look for a set.

Found a Logitech MK270 wireless combo at 54% off for 24.99 and finally something sold by amazon so I could use my 15.00 credit.

Took the Prime free membership and got an email about getting a 5.00 credit if I bought a FREE prime book to read. Gee twist ,my arm open a free book to get 5 bucks. That was a no brainer! Just had to find one and open the reader. Then click same email link to activate my instant credit.

Of course nothing is simple... Stuff shipped Canada Post has to be to my PO BOX. Stuff shipped by anyone else has to be my street address and Amazon won't accept both together. So I wound up with 2 separate orders one for the keyboard alone as it would not accept the PO box as shipping address.

BONUS, FUNNY & SWEET: Because of the shipping split it's a separate order for the Keyboard and mouse so very easy to see that what would have cost 60.69 at regular price was only $5.81 total cost!
That works out to 90% off! Now thats a deal. The whole lot comes to a grand total of 30.98.

And everything ordered was really a need and not a want.

Never thought I'd see cute AAA batteries  Next they'll want to put faces on them. Great bargain on the keyboard and mouse :)

GaryQ I got fed up with the way Microsoft wireless mice ate batteries and switched to Logitech about 19 years ago. They are amazing. Now I change batteries about twice a year instead of once a month with Microsoft. Got my sons using Logitech now too and they’ve had the same experience. Never going back. [emoji4]

Not a positive. My Rogers cable internet, usually very reliable, went offline last night half way through an episode of The Crown on Netflix.

17 hours later they are still working on it but still no internet access. I don’t think it’s ever been down this long in all the years I’ve been with Rogers. It’s not me only. It’s the whole hub serving this area.

We don’t even have bad weather. My guess is some construction outfit badly screwed up. But I’m getting very frustrated to say the least. :(

I was hoping i wasn't going to be the only one that got a kick out of the batteries :D

David you do realize 19 years ago in that sentence?
Back then everything ate batteries like Daniel eats fake meat :D

Yeah that sucks. I think I hate Rogers even more than Ma Bell.

1. Internet is finally back up. :)

2. That was a typo. I meant 10 years.

3. This is the first major outage I've had with Rogers. I had outages with Bell all the time. I fired them years ago when I moved into a new house. Bell came to install a second landline and the guy they sent said, "Oh I don't know how to do that". What? Then why the hell would they send you when the reason for sending you is cl;early marked on the work order? And why didn't you tell your supervisor when you go the work order? Dumb as a bag of rocks.

Well we had the greatest and cheapest rates across Canada since I moved here in 2004. There was MTS the phone company and Shaw. That's when each started encroaching on the other's services. The price war lasted till Bell bought MTS. When I was installing for MTS it was a blast. When I was in WPG I had Total Home Internet 25mb and with my cell from them on the package my cell data was free and unlimited no throttle caps.

 1. Made a pretty kick-ass laksa.
 2. It was super spicy and I accidentally rubbed chili on my nose, BUT I didn't rub my eyes before that so I'm now being extra careful.
 3. I have a podcast to listen to while I'm doing the dishes.

1 - One thing I love is when i get the 30 day Amazon Prime free trial is not having to spend an hour finding something to fill the cart to over 35$ when I only want something that's under. And make them pay shipping fees

2 - #1 compensates for all their errors and since they own Whole Foods and they tried to prevent Canadian employees from wearing a Poppy (a lesson they learned the hard way. Canadians are polite but there's a line you don't cross)

3 - Ordered a tire inflator with digital gauge. Has great reviews. When I had normal profile tires temp change wasn't as critical but these 18" low profiles tires and especially the wheels are best protected when properly inflated. Many people aren't aware that tire pressure fluctuates +/- 1psi per 10F or 5.6C change in temp so here it can vary 20C day to day. Tired of hard to read or use crappy gauges.

BUMMER: Need to transfer tires and stuff from old garage today and assemble the air compressor and do the scary part " THE BURN IN PRODECURE" have to check for possible defects and then open drain valve and run it for 30 minutes. Then turn it off. set it and test the pressure cut in out and hope all goes well. Worse part is keeping an eye on it without being in garage for 30 minutes. Those things are loud. 30mins is a long time.
