Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Finally made pecan pie last night. I was going to make it last month but couldn't be stuffed. Got interrupted during it and so I stayed up a bit later than I was going to and haven't had a piece yet (although that wasn't on the cards last night anyway). Just trying to decide if I bring it in to work tomorrow or eat it all myself over a few days.
2. I am SO BORED but will be going out for lunch, just have to make it another 2 hours. I'm sure I can find something to do.
3. Sorted out my timesheet for the other weeks in this month. Just need to work out this week. It's hard to book time to individual tasks when you're not doing any real work...

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

You're welcome to have a piece.
Pecan pie is like the one pie I can make, although come to think of it I've never tried making any others. I've made it about 5 times now in total, but only ever been tried by my immediate and extended family so far... Last time I made it I ate the whole thing myself ;)

That said, my attempts at making caramel slice have historically been disastrous.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

Have any of you tried the frozen store bought Marie Callender's pies? They are as close to homemade as I can find and actually taste better than some local bakeries.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

It seems that they used to sell them here as a limited time product about 5 years ago. :(

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Pie tasted good but I didn't butter the dish very well (which I was aware of at the time) so it got rather stuck... So I'll just have to keep it to myself at home ;)
2. I can progress a task a little bit further thanks to someone's reply.
3. I know how I'm going to write up a different report.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1. Tacos tomorrow.
2. Had a relationship chat with the bf. Nothing super serious yet but trying to normalise talking about stuff.
3. I'm temporarily pleased with an analogy that I came up with for something.

1. Brother-in-law refinished our dining room table and helped us catch up on all our home improvement projects.

2. Enjoyed taking free job assessments at Indeed.com.

3. Went to the new Dunkin Donuts that is in the next town over.

Re: 3 Positive Things Part 6

1.) Finally finished what I call Halloween on a Shoestring Budget: this critter is made of garden refuse, dogwood clippings, string, some scrap cloth & a glue gun... Oh, and the base is 3 or 4 tomato cages... Putting it out in the front yard tomorrow night...

2.) I have a new psychiatrist AND a new psychologist. Both are nice. I might be going back to work in January.

3.) I finally finished a 5-week program (1 hour-ish per day, 5 days per week of my choosing) called CogMed. Not sure if anyone here knows what it is, but it’s a program that allows people with ADHD to form new/more neural pathways and/or improve short term memory... Some of the “games” I improved from initial levels of 5 to as high as 8. Others I could barely make it to 6.95... But I still seemed to improve overall. Maybe when I see the psychologist from The Learning Disability Association, she can explain my scores better.

3.5) I miss you guys, but that CogMed thing wasn’t as fun as I thought. It was really hard work.
Plus I was following the advice of my new ADHD psychologist and “doing fun stuff, for me.” Which I seem to have done/am doing in a community on Tumblr...

Good to be back! I hope you’re all doing well! [emoji324]

...seeing your photos reminded me of both, especially In The Tall Grass.

Perfect for Halloween. :)

Wow! Thanks! lol

I was half-afraid to put it out any sooner in case someone thinks it’s Druidic, Witchy, or Demonic or something. I don’t mind Druidic, really, but some people freak out about magic... I mean, magic might be spiritual, or deeply respectful of nature, etc, but it doesn’t mean you’re planning to eat the neighborhood children or anything, for gosh sakes.

Anyway, also afraid someone will steal it, or smash it, or burn it.

Actually burning it would look super creepy and ritualistic, but again, I don’t want a panic and someone calling the firefighters or police...

On the other hand, more Halloween candy for us adults next year! lol

Midsommar (2019) - IMDb and In the Tall Grass (2019) - IMDb.

Both very good movies, by the way, if you like the genre.

But seeing your photos reminded me of both, especially In The Tall Grass.

Perfect for Halloween. :)

I also wanted to thank you because that was a compliment I never thought I’d hear, either! lol

And thanks for the movie titles! I must have a peek at them...

[emoji38] I has fuzzy feels. Thanks!
